PRO for me
Weight, easy set up, equal ends
Cons
Semi Free standing, No awning, center pole may get lost one day
Why I picked it, Good for me alone, and great for the wife and kid, Weight is great, about 1 pound less than comparable models. MSR is a great company, equal ends are a must for me.

I'm unsure, so I'm asking: Doesn't the tiny cross bar go "above" the other pole? Oops, you fixed it. I love the mesh pockets in the top to lay the phone in for watching RU-vid videos.

Its a nice tent but it failed me in the snow/wind Ive found the trekking pole tents to be stronger.... "if" you can live with the design. But MSR is a great tent still

@BaaSicStuff I'm guessing I will upgrade around this time next year, but I am pleased with it for training. My other tent was a 70 dollar Amazon solo tent, and it was horrible

@@BaasicstuffI've seen a few, and I'll watch yours. My concern is I'll drop 4 - to 6 hundred on the Six Moon and still want Dyneema, or does Six Moon now make a Dyneema tent?
@Baasicstuff
@Baasicstuff 9 месяцев назад
@@rwp722 Im not much of a Dyneema it packs BIG and for the price, the Solo Lunar is still my choice. Won tent of the year a few ties for good reason. It also is the size of a soda can when stuffed. Packs VERY well

Good first look at that tent. What sleeping pad do you have in the tent? I like how the sides curve upwards. Do you rate it?
@Baasicstuff
@Baasicstuff 2 года назад
OK, what I like after longterm use. The weight. the color, easy set up, quality. What I dont like, vestibule is small, center pole could and should have been wider and allows water to fall in tent. I recommend this tent for those that want a double wall, light tent for 2 people or one person that likes room, also a non wet area, not recommend for East Coast, this is a really good WestCoast tent. Two 25 inch pads fit, touching, the upward sides are GREAT, I sleep in it alone, I sleep against the mesh/wall of one side, this keeps all my stuff on my pad, and being double wall its not wet. Its light weight I keep looking at Dyneema tents but those only save me half a pound in most cases....again its 2 pound with a plastic sheet ground cloth. So yea I like the Tiger Wall, also but again this thing is light and I dont camp in rain for the most part. Also 20% REI now

Great insight👍🏼 What brand is the sleeping pad?
@Baasicstuff
@Baasicstuff 2 года назад
@@Rickstar270 I have the NEMO tensor insulated, its WARM, BIG. I also have a NEMO imported version, they no longer make it...think REI may have some but those are cooler, have horizontal baffles and also a good summer pad. Going LIVE now, I will address it in the video...also I shave over a pound from my 20 pound load out...... LIVE

How you gettin on with the tent? Has it been out in bad rain etc? Just thinking about buying 1, i use mainly terra nova here in the UK they make some solid units 100% worth a look 👌

Why are you gonna bring that on a camping trip with my family that’s honestly something that I’d bring for myself that is a 1 person tent if you wanted to sleep on top of one another you can cram 2 people in there!!!!!!
@Baasicstuff
@Baasicstuff 2 года назад
I have two tents for back packing. half the time I’ll be in there alone. The other my wife and kid will share it. A four man backpacking tent would be $700 plus and weigh 5-6 pounds at least, I don’t want that. I do have a 6 man and that 25 pounds but that’s basecamp and deployed from a car.
