If you listen to this show very carefully, you can tell it’s just Matt politely responding to everything Shane says, and then as soon as he has a chance, he just tries to talk about whatever book he was reading again.
My dad was really drunk one nohht, and got real comfortable and told me that if the time comes when he can't take care of himself, he'll take care of himself. And I've never forgot that, and I'm not even sure he remembers telling me cause not even two minutes later he's singing CCR and the mood never got back to that level again that night or any night since.
My dad was the same way and he had a massive stroke and made him bed ridden and for 1 year he couldn't walk talk or do anything.....my family kept him alive and he was miserable. I knew what he wanted and the family didn't care. It was hard watching him pass.
