Series 6, episode 12, The Starfighter. A simple back to back bit of comedy, Crow attempting to get himself online and a skit that would make a great ad.
My step-dad still says "Just surf the web" or something along those lines.. I think most normal people, when referring to the internet say, "Just Google it".
It was sometimes also called the Infobahn. Incidentally all the stuff Crow is mentioning; the errors, the GPFs etc all were things that would routinely happen with the “Doityourself” internet of the mid-nineties…
"LET ME ON THE INFORMATION SUPER HIGHWAY!! I WANT ON THE INFORMATION SUPER HIGHWAY!!!!" Crow, you are a real piece of work! XD And Trace is awesome too! Bryon
Old computers are one of the things I actually don't miss from the 90s. I remember you had to wait so long just for a single page to load, and if someone picks up the phone you have to do it all over again.
Raised on MST3K and I can most certainly see where I got my sense of humor lol Edit: why aren’t we talking about Mike putting a MOUSE in Crows mouth to get him to calm down XD
Oh, trust me, people have had Information Superhighway rage since long before the Internet. BBS modems had to have put plenty of people in Tears Of Rage.
Wow this really does remind me of the old days of the Internet. That experience with the Information Superhighway is so familiar! Ooooh 90 MHz, 38K modem! LOL
OMG some of the best writing ever. I certainly know Crow's pain. "I CAN READ" Amazing what passes for comedy shows now a days compared to this, tsk tsk tsk
I like all the cables coming out the back. Looks like they fixed the UART problems by Win XPs release. Or is it 'cause we use NIC cards now? Can you still get Multimedia Packages for PCs nowadays?
There were so many Toms that they often made jokes about the number, and even a whole chorus of them singing once. But I don't think nearly as many Crows. Also, if you watch the bloopers, both robots could fall apart on accident--probably Gypsy, too.
