It fixed my problem!! thanks, i subbed And also keep up the great work with you're wonderfull channel Edit: for anyone that is still having problems make sure to download both x64 and x84
This didn't work for me at first. I read some of the comments and saw a comment that suggested installing both the x64 and the x86 versions of the visual ++ redistributable. After I installed both versions, my game worked. I figured that I would comment in case anyone else needed to see this without scrolling. Try installing both versions! Good luck debugging!
Yeah. You are right. I followed one of the other videos available on RU-vid. It redirected me to malicious website. But I have web security that blocked that site. Otherwise I would Have ended up with my infected pc
Thank you!! This was super helpful and thanks for the tip for not downloading them from the web cos I was totally gonna do that before I found this vid 😬😂
Hi! what if this doesn't work for me? I have tried reinstalling visual c++ redistributable 3 times and I can see these 2 files in system32 folder but still the same error pops up, can you help me?
Mmm... Strange if I had to guess the program that is looking for them is looking in the wrong place, but there is a way to make files work from everywhere you might try searching for that
I cant find any solutions to my problem, i've installed the missing msvcp140.dll about 3 times and it doesn't make a difference. i did accidently delete all my Microsoft visual c++ files without realising what they were. i don't know if this is why i cant load up a specific game in steam (it's only 1 game). if anyone has any ideas i'd be grateful thanks?
@@MCluqq i remember i fixed and reinstalled all the files back as i sold the pc shortly after. i just don't remember exactly how i did it, i know there's a solution out there i hope you find it.

Make sure you download and install both x64 and x86 of Visual Studio 2015, 2017, and 2019. It worked for me after 2 weeks of frustration as well for others.
it didn’t work for me. now something is popping up saying “the code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found” my new computer is being a real pain and i don’t know anything to do with computers.
You mean you downloaded a DLL or the Visual C++ Redistributable? If you downloaded the DLL but haven't placed it in any system folders, say for example you downloaded it to the desktop and then deleted it most likely nothing happened. if you already placed it where some videos recommend placing it, and ran the program checking if that fixed the issue then whatever was in that DLL is already on your machine :/
1:50 "and you didn't need to download anything off the web" meanwhile.... 0:53 "open a web browser"....1:28 "I'll download that version"....ok guy i believe u know what u are doing but caught ya in a mistake haha
I was one of the idiots who downloaded it off the web. It gave me an edge like search engine that I deleted and uninstalled. Do you think my computer received any viruses or anything that could hurt it?
If I had to guess, then yes. I would make sure to have a backup of everything important, If you already installed the file I would check what was installed by scanning the file at Virus Total Which will scan the file using ~70 different AV Products, It will give you some idea if you have something to worry about.

Hey mate, probably a little late on this but had the problem today. When you download the Visual ++, make sure you download and install both the x64 and the x86 versions. That should work.
Some people report that installing both versions 64bit and 32bit solves the problem, it depends on what the program you're trying to run is looking for
i did this and i still get the error notification when i tried to download origin, if anyone knows how to fix this pls lmk i wanna play the sims so bad😭
STOP! - this is a crime! I've created an in-place case converter that works in 100s of programs, link here ---> anycaseapp.com/yt2 (Yes, I'm a software developer and no one knows I developed AnyCase App, one of the most popular Case Converters out there)
