Another incredibly difficult ride. Something I call a One and Done! Meaning I probably won't do it again because it was just too dang tough. I honestly still can't believe that I didn't drop the bike on this one. Up to the top of the famous Mt. Antero, to an elevation above 14,000 feet. This is one of the very few 14-ers you can ride to the top. It starts getting really tough around the 4 minute mark.

Good work of it. I may have to get into a 690 on my Colorado Adventures. Cheers

I rode my Blaster up to the top a couple of times. It's a fun trail. That first Baldwin Creek crossing can get really deep early in the year.

Very cool! Hoping to do some of this type of riding in Yosemite on my 690.

It's a fun ride and a must-do, but the last few switchbacks to the top of Antero are really tough.

Love your videos, man. On the east coast we don't have any riding like that! The scenery is incredible and it's cool to see how it changes once you get above the tree line.

Yeah it's so different above the tree line. Almost like the surface of the moon sometimes.

Gnarly. I'm getting too old for that. Sorta reminds me of Saxon Mountain Road, which I will never do again.

I've done Saxon a few times and Antero is much, much tougher. I have a Saxon video coming one of these days. Thanks for watching!

Nice. This one is on my list too. We do the same types of rides. I've got a motoz rallz on the back and for now just because I had one sitting around a dunlop d606 on the front. What have you found works best on this bike for these rocky rides?
@disbanded1
@disbanded1 7 месяцев назад
On the rear I usually run Motoz Desert HT or the Tusk DSport Adventure tire for their offroad capability (knobbies). I like the stock Pirelli MT21 on the front.

@@disbanded1 I was thinking about the deserts but scared away with people saying how bad they are on wet pavement. Any issues with that?
@disbanded1
@disbanded1 7 месяцев назад
@@flagkennyrider I haven't ridden with it on wet pavement and I usually do about 95% off road, but it is definitely LOUD on the pavement.

Nice! What tires are you running ?

Stock Pirelli front and Motoz Desert HT rear. The best combo I've found so far.

This looks like one of those trails you take once so you can say you did it but probably never do again.

steep. bv is kickass place to live. what a playground for offroad riding. you lucky to live there. you a bad dude. thanks for sharing ride videos. it's great resource to learn about these trails, before trying them or knowing to never try it. how does antero compare to red cone and radical?
@disbanded1
@disbanded1 7 месяцев назад
I think Antero might be a little tougher than Red Cone and Radical Hill. I just didn't get the satisfaction from Antero that I do from Red Cone or Radical. Antero was just plain brutal. Plus it is out and back so it's a little more boring in that regards.
