Our Mount Fuji Travel Guide! What an incredible experience exploring the area around this Japanese icon.
The towns and villages in the shadow of Mt Fuji are utterly unique. They move at a different pace to the rest of Japan and are blessed with Fuji's water and land that is some of the most fertile in world.
Fuji is the counterweight to Tokyo and urban Japan. Equally as impressive, equally as iconic, equally as mesmeric. Can there be a more perfect natural representation of Japan than Mt Fuji; precise, clean, elusive, mysterious.

It is clear that attaché is transforming from a general travel guide to a much more resolute inspirational side of cultural exploration. And I am happy for it.

Beautiful video. Never really got to explore the villages around Fuji when I was there back in 2004. I was 26 I think when I first climbed it. I was exhausted. And this is just me starting at that 5th Stage point. Then I met this Japanese man in his 50s who said he climbed in more then 30 times. Respect!

BIG MAC? how about that short bullet train trip it's not cheap. Fuji is an experience. this paints a picture of the adventure of getting to Fuji and what is around it. The trip up the Mt To the 8th & 9th station and the trip down is another story. There is no real trail, it is a path of switch back and steps that are different sizes; some 12 inches high other 18 inches or 24 inches, one thing you can count on for sure is that they are going to a different space and hight for the 5 to 6 hours. After Station 7 it becomes lava rock and more uneven steps. If you are a true adventurist this Mountain should be on your bucket list( we did it twice in one week both times it was amazing). PLEASE DONT FORGET THAT TOKOYO IS THE MOST VISITED CITY IN JAPAN. FOR GO THIS CRAZY AND VISIT YOKOHAMA AND KAMAKURA.

@yakkun1926
@yakkun1926 5 лет назад
@Peachgirl91 Yep! Try to go off the beaten path. Do not spend too much time in Tokyo (even though it's amazing). Visit places like Kanazawa, Matsumoto or even little gems like Gujo Hachiman. Go to Kyushu or Shikoku. People over there don't speak English that much, but are really kind.
@yakkun1926
@yakkun1926 5 лет назад
Peachgirl91 It can be done on a budget. If you stay in a hostel or capsule hotel you could save a lot on accomodation. Transportation is a big factor in Tokyo’s massive urban sprawl and it’s quite pricey. While food doesn’t always have to be. I’d say this: prepare roughly 1000 USD (not including the flight) and you should have plenty
