Is it possible to free climb up the second tier without ropes at the western corner/tip of the second tier? From images I have seen, this part tapers and gradually ascends, with no sharp cliff faces.
It is possible to climb up at the western end. There's a short 3-4 metre high cliffline there with a few tricky moves. Climbing down there would be more challenging so a short rope would be advised for security.
@@Yuhanpeng3005 Vidler's Chimney is far more difficult and dangerous...vertical dirt slopes with lots of loose material. It's only been climbed once to my knowledge and it was an epic! The Tourist Route on the SE corner is by far the easiest way to the top of the first tier.
