Mt. Olympus Review, Wisconsin Dells Water & Theme Park | Cheapest Park in America 

Wow I didn't realize those go-kart tracks were that innovative! I was always mesmerized by them passing by and they're definitely some great tracks. Mt. Olympus could do with some competition in terms of an amusement park - they already settle for having a good but not great water park, but they're the best option for amusement in the area despite their flaws, so having another park with coasters open not too far away might spur them to invest more in polishing the park off - though I doubt those $5 tickets would last long if that were to happen.

I stopped at the park while on a road trip and only had a few hours on a summer Saturday morning. I was amused by the whole spectacle and enjoyed all 4 rides and the sky screamer, but yeah, the place is pretty questionable in terms of safety and standards. Very memorable, cautiously recommended.

Seems like a park that’s just lacking some heart and soul, like the people running it aren’t putting in the right kinda effort, which I would imagine would be more profitable for them and also better for guests. I’d rather have a park cost more and put that money back into the quality of the park.

I've been there 3 times over the past 2 years and LOVE it. The 3 smaller coasters are very fun. Hades sucks. Way too much vibration. The new slide wheel, Medusa, is AWESOME! Capacity is surprisingly good. 5 or 6 tubes are in the slide at one time. On Thurs, June 2022, we paid $140 for a very clean room with 3 beds. 4 of us received free admission and parking. Admission is now $20. PS. Hades being closed is not a bad thing due to the Timberliners. I bet PTC's would be good. As far as safety goes, a schoolteacher jumped a fence and was killed by a roller coaster at Cedar Point.

Mt. Olympus needs better safety precautions. I’ve been to the park 4 times, each stay being about three days, so i know every inch of the park. Cyclops needs to be inspected… bad. I see hanging structural boards only attached by one end, loose nails all along the station tracks (which probably means the rest of the tracks probably have loose nails too), and it’s pretty scary seeing that, knowing that definitely isn’t right. The fences are NOT secure enough… like you said, some careless person could just reach through the fence while the train is speeding by and have their hand whacked off. Just Like you said, Hades needs retracked. There’s one moment when you’re reaching the end of the tunnel to come out into the corkscrew, and it just plain hurt. Still probably my favorite roller coaster I’ve ridden, but either way it needs some work done to it to ensure the comfort and safety of *all* the riders. I like this park, it has a deep place in my heart as the home of my favorite roller coaster and my first ever coaster (Pegasus), but that can’t blind me from how cheap and lazy the park really is. It saddens me to see the owners don’t seem to care enough to make sure that everyone is safe. Dang this is a long comment

Been here before & will be going back again next month. Will be my first visit to the water park. Curious how Cyclops rides now with the retrack. First visit wasn’t that great since Hades & Zeus were closed. Second visit was better since Hades was open. Hades rules despite its roughness.

11:30 That waterpark, in 2019, was only available to resort guests, and the pandemic has messed up their groove with that, so I'm not sure about the future there. Those slides were a lot of fun, and with short lines, I rode all of them several times. I greatly preferred that section to the main outdoor or indoor waterparks, although Poseidon's Rage was still my favorite water attraction. I paid $85 in total for a budget room, but they did upgrade me to a suite. In that year, the park would close at 7pm, but resort guests got to stay until 10pm, during which they provided food. Also, Hades 360, Zeus, Pegasus, and the indoor waterpark were open on my night. All that, plus free parking & admission for everyone in the room on both the check-in & check-out days, and every day inbetween. It was a fantastic experience! I felt bad about not staying for the entire day on my check-out day. Online admission was $20 when I checked a month before my visit, but the resort room was a no-brainer.

This park was liberally my childhood. I started going around 2013 when I was 6, but I haven't been back since 2019. I'm coming back this year and am so pumped, but a little sad to hear about the back water slides not being opened :( kinda an unpopular opinion but I loved that area of the water park

so one small thing is the slide wheel is going to be called Medusa, otherwise you nailed Mt Olympus. i love that you included Hades famous gum tree and you gave it a very fair review. for anyone that plans to stay at the resort, i would prolly pass on anything but Hotel Rome unless you don't care about sleeping comfort. MTO literally went around for a decade buying 1 star hotels slashing the prices to bargain basement prices and buying the competing 1 star hotel when they went bankrupt. seems like they ran out of hotels to buy around 2018 and that's when they started the weekend surge pricing. you are paying about 80% of the Fairfield, Hilton, and La Quinta and getting a 1980s era mattress box spring and no headboards because they are painted on. they also have terrible sealing doors with thin walls so you will hear everything.

Can't say it's on my bucket list, but I'll still be happy if I get to go. It's one of those mid looking places lol

I went on hades and I had so much room on the lap bar but they lock the restraints to early so I had a scary amount of airtime and when I ask a employee they pushed it down but it didn’t move because it was locked and she just proceeded to send the train.

My personal opinion about this park is to stay away from it. Safety was absolutely atrocious when I went about half a decade ago. This noted were the generally uncaring ride ops, (caught them walking over station track while the ride was out on the course several time) uncaring management when I voiced my concerns they just blew me off, and at one point finding maintenance entering a low point of one of the coaster while it was in mid cycle just to get to the other side slightly faster . That last example for me was the straw that broke the camel's back. I worry for the guest and employees that there is a going to be a large disaster with possibly multiple fatalities, or multiple fatal accidents due to their apathy towards safety. I will probably never go back as long as this park continues to be operated as it currently is and I've seen no reason as to believe they have changed since then. This park is just one bad day away from an atrocity due to the lack respect for safety. Safety should always be number one for anyone who runs an amusement park. Long Explanation Over

Seems a little too negative. I've been there multiple times since i grew up in Wisconsin. The first turn on Hades after the 2nd tunnel is definitely extremely rough. But I never once thought the park seemed unsafe. I doubt anyone would reach their hand into the ride. Would be cool if they added a steel roller coaster or RMC but I doubt it would ever happen

I can see why it's so cheap to visit. I am heading there next month but all ready it looks like this place was better when I first visited in 2008. I think the family needs to sell the park to new operators and then they should add new slides to the back of the park where the old water slides used to be (they're all gone now), they need to add something new to the indoor theme park, they need something new and exciting for the outdoor theme park, they need to reopen the elevated tracks for the go-karts (unless they're back open again because I heard they were all closed at one point ) and of course retrack whatever wooden coasters are still rough. And also open the indoor water and theme parks year round. The schedule online said they were open from mid September to mid May which doesn't make sense with Medusa's Slidewheel right around the corner.

Honestly, might be a good idea to keep Pegasus around since it sounds like the closest we will to a wooden wild mouse in the entire western hemisphere. The 3 remaining actual wooden wild mice are among the farthest from here in Europe (you can thank Blackpool Pleasure Beach), and Indonesia and Australia aren't exactly close to America either, so you may want to be careful about what you wish for next time you want to advocate for a Gravity Group Family to replace Pegasus.

I visited the website and saw a special where tickets are a mere 3 dollars. That is less than a gallon of gas.

Mt. Olympus Needs Steel coasters. they need to get rid of their 2 wooden coasters and replace them with big steel ones, like a Chance Morgan Hyper Coaster and Maybe a Launch coaster. but not just coasters, but flat rides like an S&S Double or Triple Tower, maybe a Multi Tower like Cedar Point's Power Tower. Mt. Olympus Needs 2 big Steel Coasters and few more big rides.

This park may be the sketchiest par... oh, sorry, sketchiest place anywhere to go. The fact that it's common to see a coaster bolt or cracked wood plank in the middle path just shows how sketchy this place is and honestly I love it. It's like this park doesn't follow any of the laws and requirements to be a safe park but its right on the edge of still being safe. From the chain on Hades thats missing a pully so its just dangling to the bolt I could easily un loosen on Zeuses train. But another thing from my experience was how the ride ops seemed to be to dangerous with what they did. I saw a ride op for Hades and when the train left, she not only was on her phone, she went and literally sat down on the track and was on her phone cause she had nowhere to sit. Then when the train pulled up to the station, she moved at the last 2 seconds and considering how fast the train comes in and how close she was, she could of easily gotten hit if she tripped. I do also love how you can ride everything shirtless and in your swim suit. I do enjoy the park overall though.

I'm here actually currently (from out of state) and it isn't so bad so far but I dislike how people can't stop the go karts

I'd visit again if they rebuilt demons drop and dragons tail. If anything they should've kept the two modern looking stunning rides. Too sad for me to go now.

The reason that other side of the park is closed is because a couple of years ago a teen snuck in during the winter with a sled and went down the drop slide but fell to his death

Hades really looks like it needs to be converted to a hybrid coaster instead, it just seems like they kind of found or passed the limit of what a regular wood coaster is really capable of. The indoor "theme park" just looks depressing, and the hotel rooms have the worst reviews of literally any hotel I've ever seen. Overall this place seems mostly terrible, with just a few bright spots
