I brought snowshoes when we did this back in '09. We hiked up the road on Friday evening to just past the radio towers and camped there. I left the snowshoes at camp for the summit bid on Saturday morning and never ended up using them. I just used crampons above camp. The snowshoes would have only been useful on the road anyway. Once you leave the road (about a ½ mile after the radio towers), the terrain is too rocky and the route traverses the slope, so snowshoes would be useless.
