This is a great video. Do you by chance have a high res version of that AMAZING night image looking south from Camp Muir where you can see Adams, St.Helens, and Hood? I would love to have a copy of that photo!
Awesome video! Does a really great job of showing the full experience of getting up there. Too bad about not making the summit, but I suppose the mountain will be there next year :D
Thanks! We ended up summiting the following weekend. Might attempt again this summer, depends on conditions! I also hurt my knee so I need a few weeks rest :( best of luck on your climb!!
it looks like those boots have never been worn...?? :41 also, im pretty sure that shovel extends from the handle.... sorry, not being judgy. just wondering if this was your first time on a glaciated peak?
Scott Gile thank you! Good luck! Part of it collapsed in but it’s still there. It would be very sketchy crossing it during the day when it’s warm and soft. We left at 11pm so that we could cross it, summit, and head down while things were still frozen. They are changing the route every week so I am sure it will be different when you go
It wasn't pictured well in the video. It was just an actual snow bridge that had been melting out slowly. We left from Muir too late and snow would have been soft coming back from the summit. We attempted the following week and left much earlier from Muir...ended up summiting that attempt, we felt the risk was reduced with the colder temps. Thanks for watching!
