On this outdoor adventure, I am hiking to the highest point at Crater Lake National Park in southern Oregon. The Mt Scott Trail is 5 miles rt and 1,200 ft of elevation gain! The park labels this trail as strenuous. This summit to the top of the mountain is extremely beautiful! You get quite an amazing view of the Crater Lake National Park area! Crater Lake itself, you can see in its entirety, and it looks so amazing as you're going up! This hike will give you a good workout but reward you with some pretty spectacular views! This video will show you what it's like to summit Mt Scott!!

Eric, that was so beautiful and well worth the climb to get up there. Those views were amazing over the lake. Good tip on the bugs in summer too. I miss the mountains already, I bet there is snow out there again now. Great job on the video and music and you always inspire me to get back out west. I just booked several trips to the Sierra.

Yes it's a beautiful National Park and this hike really shows it off really well! It was hard but not extremely crazy hard luckily. Definitely the views are totally worth it for this climb. This was so cool, i loved how dramatic the music was :) looks like a great hike and a lovely sunny day to do it. Its nice that its not too crowded and you dont have bugs this time. Those views are cool, looks like its a good workout but the views definitely make it worth it :) subscribed :) i hope one day I can visit xx

Ah yes, I don't miss the bugs like that! We have them here too, but it sounds like they were pretty intense during your first visit. Wow, fantastic views of the lake from there. You did great making it all the way up there! Looks like a trail I would quite enjoy.

good tip about July and the bugs, nothing ruins a hike than bugs, was surprised about the snow still being there but at high elevations the white stuff does hangs around, the views from the top of Crater Lake and the surrounding area were amazing to see well worth the hike, have a good week Eric

Yeah, July was really a bad month to come out here for me. It was a bit too hot, and also, like I mentioned, the bugs were insane. It's definitely a bit more crowded as well. But the lesson learned, and October was wonderful. Actually, I believe that, like 2 or 3 days after I visited, they had a snowstorm here, so I got lucky. This hike was awesome, and I'm glad I did it this time around. Thank you so much for watching Craig. I really appreciate it.

I didnt know Crater Lake had mountains that high. A pretty spectacular hike with awesome views of Crater lake and the surrounding area. Great hike and I bet your legs got a real good workout.

Yeah, this one's the biggest mountain. They also have Garfield Peak and Watchman Peak to Summit as well. My next video is actually Watchman Peak, and that has a great view of the lake also. Yeah, my legs were tired because I actually ended up doing 4 hikes in that same day.Thanks again, brother 🙏.

Looks a biggie for you Eric and great job on getting to the summit, looks a prefect time and temperature to hike it in too, especially with not as many people and bugs around. No switchbacks and a straight up, no scrambling would suit me down to the ground, especially with views back to Creator Lake. Spoke too soon with the switchbacks 🙄 but still worth it for the awesome views. Not expecting to see that building on the actual summit, I would hate to be the worker carrying all that gear up every day 😳, Cheers Alan
