💣BOOM💥 beautiful brother! I truly enjoyed the way you put this all together. Also let me take a minute to wish you and your family a very happy holiday season💪🤠👍
I just came across your videos tonight and I really like them and enjoy them! Thanks for taking the videos and putting it here for the rest of us to see. Stay safe and keep filming!
Awesome, glad you enjoyed. Though they are a ton of work, making videos is a relaxing thing for me. Next big mountain video should be Mt Hood. I do take requests and ideas if you have any.
@@MattCookOregon I had to ask my friend since he drove! We started at Corrigan lake trailhead, and I remember the date was June 21st, the summer solstice 😎 the sun set at like 9pm
This is an Awesome video! Great Storytelling, love how you used the maps to show the trail. Need to add this to my bucket list of Peaks to climb. Great Video!
Great summit hike.Views were awesome👍Thanks for the share Matt.I use telescoping trekking poles when I am summitingb that way if I get into the Rocky areas I can stash them easily in my backpack.
Thanks Brooke. I have never got into poles yet. I guess cause I always have a camera in my hand haha. Seems like it would help the body not get worn down in a few ways though.
Or maybe we took 4 hours and just sped it up haha. That tent is interesting. It is a 4 season winter tent. Actually very heavy, but because of the weight I saved like 500$.
Great video - beautiful area and lots of good info. The skies and colors are perfect! I would probably wait with your wife and dog, before reaching the ridge😊 but I love seeing the view from the summit! New friend and subscriber from Washington 🥾🥾
@@MattCookOregon I don’t have any but I can recommend the “Hike Yakima Washington” channel- they did a hike to summit Mt Adams, I think within the last year! Glad to meet you 😊
This was okay I guess but next time try keeping the camera pointed at your face instead of showing so much epic scenery and, you know, insightful looks at the terrain. 😂😂 Seriously though, truly beautiful film, a pleasure to watch even for those of us who probably won’t summit Diamond Peak.
My knees began to hurt watching final ridge ascent and I've found downhill hiking is not much easier. Summits do not interest me. I'd walk up for cave discovery. Below any high rock collapse zone talus caves may exist. Also keep an eye open for lava tubes or other cave discovery hopes. Best done to escape summer heat and maybe find water.
I got one you might like. I went to the top of Matterhorn in eastern Oregon. Right at the top there is this huge hole! Cave, not sure how far down it goes. But theres metal bolts at the top.
