Axor did a great job at that price range I got the rage as a starter for my scooter and than upgraded to apex joker coming from 3.5k helmet to 6.5k+ accessories is a pretty good deal helmet is as stable as it should be while doing speed runs tested at 130+ kmph personally
Axor helmets usually have discounts on them from it's MRP. But if we're looking at stability yes it will be stable as it is a snug fit helmet but the wind noise is alot more compared to other brands.
4:50 the axor model you have is made of ABS, except the spoiler which is polycarbonate. A lot of people think that the whole helmet of the axor apex is made of polycarbonate, it is just the spoiler portion.
So basically, a "theoretically" marginally safer helmet with fewer features at a premium of 2k. And if we add a pinlock visor, it becomes a 4k difference. Also, afaik from my more than a decade of riding experience across India, all helmets less than 10k give you more or less the same wind protection. You feel the difference now because the Axxor has become quite old, and the padding became comparatively lose. Other than that, there won't be much of a difference.
You make a really good point. Both the helmets have the exact same features at different costs. But their material of construction is definitely different. Me personally have had this wind noise issue ever since i got the Axor. N I have never had that with the MT.
Nice review! Help me out bro, I'm looking to buy my first helmet (budget is around 5k). I have a few questions if you could kindly answer :- 1) Is the dual visor mechanism on helmets sturdy, I'm concerned whether it comes down by itself on bumpy roads? 2) Isn't axor made up of abs & mt polycarbonate? 3) Does mt helmet run a size smaller? I tried SMK size M, which fitted me well, and I will have to order MT online(not available in stores here), which size should I order?
Dual visors are pretty sturdy as far as my experience goes with them. No axor is definitely made up of polycarbonate. Sizes are always better measured using the helmet size charts only but for me personally axor n Mt had the same size ☺️
Hi, can you tell the sizes for your mt and axor helmets? And is your head round or oval shaped ? Another question, did you feel that weight distribution of mt is better than your axor helmet ?
@@joe200x any opinion about the weight distribution? Have heard some folks tell that despite being the same weight, the weight distribution of mt is better than the axor & hence it feels more comfortable?
For me personally both the mt thunder 3 n the axor venomous weigh the same that is 1650g n considering I have a GoPro and an intercom attached almost all through the ride I still don't feel any neck pain. Initially I did when I just got the axor venomous helmet as it was new to me but you get used to it as you go.
It's a europhone intercom that costs around 4k. Would not recommend as it is not a mesh type intercom and not waterproof. But for beginners it is okay😁
Axor n MT are a different style of helmets, they aren't made for the city due to their snug fit, majority of riders won't find it comfortable in the city traffic. But enfield is good for city traffic as it is more breathable. But as per highways n long rides my preference would always be Axor or MT.
Kyt is by far better if within your budget as it is a very light weighted helmet comparatively. But I wouldnt recommend the 7-8k kyt helmets as it doesn't feel very premium.
@@joe200x So what'll be your final verdict between thunder 3 pro and tt course? I'm just too confused and couldn't make a final decision thanyou for your response, appreciate it
It matters from person to person because the mt weighs at 1650g and the kyt at around 1300g so weight distribution wise kyt is better. But kyt tt course doesn't give you a snug fit like the mt does. So it's a personal choice for me personally I've never experienced any neck pains with weighted helmets so i would go for the mt
I have the exact same Isle of Man edition helmet and have fitted the universal anti fog film in April. Although I wanted to go for the pin lock anti fog visor, it wasn't available. The store guy told me I'll have wait till June for it to arrive. However, since we had too many instances of unseasonal rain here in Pune I couldn't wait and went for this jugad. It costed around 760 Rs.
@@md.srizwi1279 as the name suggests it’s a universal free size film similar to a mobile screen guard that is stuck on the inside of the visor. You can stick on any heImet visor. Does the job well in rainy season. If you want you can remove it as well is what the store guy told me. However, I’m planning to replace the entire visor after monsoon as it’s scratched up pretty bad in just 2.5 months of usage.
@@talilkr5238 do try to check with offline stores next week. Even I wanted to purchase due to unseaonal rain in Pune in April but it was out of stock. Store guy told me that they will receive fresh stock in June once monsoon begins.
Yes I looked into it but for 7200 it doesn't even give a snug fit nor comes with a pinlock which I don't feel is worth it. But the 14000 kyt helmets are definitely worth it if in budget
I had a word with the MT Helmets/Powersports guys. They said that their Thunder 3 now comes with a double-D (the older models came with a micrometric).
@@joe200x In the email, they wrote that if I were to order the product online, I can send them an email and they will ship the one with the double-D ring.
