What a magnificent hotel and what majestic mountains! I only can imagine how incredible your opening scene would be if it were wintertime. Wow-wee-wow-wowww!
We saw this hotel from the distance as we drove back to Franconia after visiting Mt. Washington. It looked quite grand from the highway. Thanks for showing it to us.
If you stand in the right spot in the conservatory, the room behind the fireplace, and you talk in a low voice you will be heard throughout the whole lobby. It's amazing.
The walk from the ballroom to the kitchen is a LOOOONG walk. So, if you are working a wedding or other function in the ballroom, make sure you brought everything you need!!!
where there anything you wished had done while thee that you didn't or that was really amazing I should must do? What time of year is best if you can when where you there?thanks in advance
It's a piece of history from all sorts of eras, there was the famous Bretton Woods conference, the architecture tells a story of its past, and there is even the old speakeasy from the times of prohibition. A timeless place.
They have valet parking. There's a great bar down in the basement. It's wonderful to go there for lunch on the back side of the hotel and look at the Mountain View. It's a great place to go on 4th of July but you need to plan well in advance. There is horseback riding and there's an antique car show once a year last I knew
Thanks Tom , I have purchased the Zhyiun Crane M and currently looking into something like Sony 6500 or Panasonic gx85 small mirrorless , but for now using Go Pro 5 and older Olympus compact. Hopefully with Sony or Panasonic I will solve the sound issue that Go pro is very much well know for and stay under 650g. weight using Crane M. All the best to you and we re off to continue with your videos ! cheers D & M
I’m going there in 2 weeks I visit this place a couple of times but it’s my first time staying there for the weekend my parents are taking me there I’m kinda of nervous staying there cause I heard they have some hauntings there and I want to go to the princes room I heard it’s haunted and other rooms so it’s going to be very interesting to go 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Imagine the Bretton Woods Conference after World War Two. Over fifty million people died in that war, and this hotel is the place where the winners sat down and worked out the structure of the world economy that lasted until 1971. This hotel is a very important historic site.
I was a guest here in the late 70s, stayed in the Sir Anthony Eden suite. the dining service was served by music students who would stop serving and put on a show during the meal. the price is high but this was an American plan hotel with meals included and they were great meals. Over the years I've managed to stay in many great hotels including the The Homestead, the Greenbriar, Raffles, the Peninsula in Hong Kong, and the Waldorf in NY and also the Plaza. Each one is a treasure and I'm happy in my memories.
@@henryostman5740 Thanks for commenting. It's wise to be grateful for the good things that have happened to us in this life. It certainly sounds like you have had a lot of fun. For guys like me, world class hunting and fishing is the most important thing. We can sleep in rough camps with no complaints if the action is good.
Rates depend on the season. People from all over the world come to NH during foiliage season. I hae not stayed here as I live in NH but have visited many times. $600 a night, isn't correct. Does depend on the room, Daughter paid $160 while she attened a wedding there.
