Why people put frame protection on is beyond me, its a mountain bike thrash it and make it look like one, not some staging piece looking like its never ridden lol

Pour le montage j'ai fait de mon mieux avec les outils que j'avais, la coupe de la fourche aurait pu être plus propre 😅. Après franchement en personne ça rend bien le Camo, il y aurait eu trop de blanc sans ça à mon goût. Et ouais niveau ride c'est toujours une tuerie ! Les 2021 sont juste ouf 😍

Merci ! Je ne possède pas de clé dynamo, et ne souhaites pas en acheter une. Trop de personnes serrent aveuglément les vis de leur vélo selon les couples recommandés, sans se rendre compte que c'est beaucoup serré ! Au moins avec le poignet je ressens quand il faut que je m'arrête : suffisamment pour que ça bouge pas, mais pas plus.. Par exemple les cassettes à 40N.m c'est beaucoup trop

It feels great ! It is so quite even in rock gardens, you feel like you gain speed everywhere, and it also has a lot of grip 🤙

There is no right or wrong geometry, you have to choose the geometry of your bike according to the trails you ride. Commencal are considered conservative because they are building bikes mostly for the french market, where most of there customers live and ride, and in France, we have a lot of technical trails with tight turns and 65.5° is the perfect balance between agility at slow speeds and stability at high speeds. In an interview, a Commencal ingeneer said that they would change the geometry of their bikes to make them slacker and longer when the EWS races would be higher speed trials more like in DH. For what I ride I would not want more or less head angle. If you are not going to ride down rock gardens at 40k an hour you won't see a benefit.. I think that the offest matters even less.. Having a shorter offest will have the same effect as running a shorter stem, you will have more leverage to turn the wheel so you will be more stable at high speeds. But you should not choose your bike because of the offset being too long or short, a bike was designed with a defined fork offset, and to work well with it ! Any recent bike you will buy is going to be riding great if it fits you and the trails you are going to ride ! Hope this will help you 😁🤙

I'm also looking at the brand new Propain Tyee 29. But that bike has a 90 day waiting list and currently the Meta AM is in stock and it's so beautiful.

@@antoineleroy4523 how does it perform? How does it climb? I'm coming from an short reach slack seat tube bike from 2017 which didn't climb at all any good. Would you consider the Meta AM a good all-rounder or just a sender?

@@villimagg I had a Propain before the Meta, and I waited 40 days, and I have two other friends who ordered Propains as well and they waited 3 to 4 months, they could tell you that it is a very long time to wait 😅

@@villimagg So going down, the Meta is a real tank ! You can go as fast as you want anywhere and the bike won't move. I think that the added weight helps with that. I did get a lot of personal records on Strava just two months after getting the bike.. To be honest, this bike is not an amazing climber, it is quite heavy compared to carbon bikes or even my last bike (Propain Tyee, aluminium, 14.5 kg), I think the Meta wheighs about 16kg. But it is very confortable pedaling, you sit just above the bottom bracket, and there is also good anti-squat so you don't have to lock the shock. I think this bike is more on the sender side, you can do everything with it but it is going to be way better at going down than anything else. And also I don't know if you care about that, but they are not expensive at all ! I built my dream bike with all my dream components, and I only paid 4300€ !!! And I bought every single part from online bike parts retailers !

Non ils ne sont pas guidés, mais il est assez simple de les récupérer avec un petit crochet car les trous dans le cadre sont assez gros !

Dans la grande majorité du temps ça sera moins cher en achetant déjà monté. Dans mon cas je voulais absolument certaines pièces et le monter moi même était le seul moyen d'avoir toutes ces pièces sur mon vélo, ça m'est revenu moins cher que si je l'avais déjà acheté monté parceque j'ai acheté toutes les pièces au Black Friday donc j'ai économisé beaucoup grâce à ça..

No worries man 🤙 I spent 4200€ This is an Enduro bike, all mountain bikes have less suspension travel It jumps really well, it is very stable in the air but you can still throw whips and tables It can do everything well, but I would say it is better at going down than going up And yeah it is very fast ! You can go straight through rock gardens and it doesn't move ! It corners very well also

Je n'ai pas acheté la fourche chez Commencal, mais sur ChainReactionCycles, j'ai du couper le tube et y insérer l'étoile moi-même, et je pense que ça sera pareil chez Commencal si tu ne choisit pas l'option montage à 150€

@@martineckert7421 Oh non ! J'ai vissé un peu la vis dans l'étoile, puis j'ai tapé sur la clé Allen avec un marteau en essayant de l'enfoncer le plus droit possible tel un bon bourrin 😂

It is the most silent bike I have ever owned ! The shifts are very precise and it doesn't take a lot of force to push the paddles. Also you can shift up 5 gears and shift down 2 gears at once which is great !

Yep there were a few reasons : It is cheaper than a 36, in my opinion it looks better, it is easier to set up because there is less settings to mess with, and I also read many reviews comparing the two forks and the lyrik is better according to the testers

Fox is like supreme, you mainly pay for the brand sadly. The lyrik is insane...

If you remove the plastic down tube protector, you will find a 1cm diameter hole. You have to insert the housing from this hole up the seatpost tube, and once it is all the way in, fit the other end of the housing up the down tube to the headset and pull it out. This was defenetly the hardest part of the build beacause I had to figure it out myself, we were three trying to figure out how we were supposed to route the cable, it took us about 40 minutes, that's why we didn't film this part... So good luck with that 😅

Antoine Leroy Thanks for the info! Got it all routed after about an hour lol. When you were mounting the shock, did you have to take the mounting hardware off the bottom eyelet to get it to fit? Thanks!

@@bryceeighmey1743 Yes ! I had to bring my shock to my bike shop so they remove all of the mounting hardware. This was the only thing I could not do by myself.
