Wait and this won't bend your wheel etc? When you do a wheelie in real life nothing holds the wheel to go sideways, and it moves a bit left/right with you. Another thing is that when actually riding, spinning wheels work a bit like a gyro that helps you keep balance (that's why when you push your bike without a biker, it can roll itself for some time). Here you don't have this effect and... your body mass and bike mass when going to the side puts huge pressure on the wheel, hub, frame (like 0:28 when you lean right) etc. I am actually terrified that u even consider using that device to practice wheelies
@evilpou
@evilpou 2 года назад
Imo, i don't think that's helping that much to learn to manual as you don't have momentum. IRL the faster you go the easier it is to balance a manual. Maybe for the bmx style brake less manual where your front wheel is lower and your butt further back. For mtb with good brakes wheeling vertical to become confortable with the balance point/brakes to where you can just stop pedaling and try to stand up. Paired with low speed try at real standing up manual. Been manualing for about 15 years with MTBs Same for bunny hop the higher you need to hop the faster you travel. Try to do each steps in a kind of slow motion. Pedal slow perpendicular to a side walk pull on the bar to lift your front. As your back wheel get closer to the side walk your front wheel is over it bring your weight foward to get your front wheel down as you hop to get you back wheel on the side walk. Exagerate each step and with experience you're going to ajust. Cheers, have a nice day sorry for my english doing my best haha.

hummm.. doubt that helps that much in real life though... just drive super slow, almost stopped then pedal up like on 2-3rd gear, dont give a hit control up, keep arms bend, like in a parking lot or small street... trust me learned that way, manual near forever turning street corners seems now easier than walking, took 2-3 months to get near there.

Get rid of the stand and just learn it on the street, I think even with these stands it’s a long road of refinement before you have manuals down… never understood the stands, once your brain has learnt to pull that back brake when you lean to far, I don’t see that much of a risk issue with learning on the streets

Bro relax you are tensing your arms wayy too much, this is simple it's like balancing weight. Just do the preload then pop, once you're up there move your weight back but don't pull on the bars leave your arms straight kind of like doing a manual on a BMX, then your can use your legs and butt to control the angle of tilt. Basically go into this as if you're doing a manual and you'll be loads better

Would it be possible for this with a roller in the bottom? I really would like to practice wheelie on this
@ironeinar
@ironeinar 2 года назад
No, for a wheelie you have to use your back brake. That's by far the most important thing to do while learning how to wheelie. If there's a roller under the thingy you would just stop the roller by braking and would still go over the back of your bike. (If you are already good at wheelies and just want to improve, then this whole part down here will be useless, otherwise reading it will possibly help you become better) Basically you can wheelie without brakes too, but I would definitely recommend learning it with the back brake method. It's just much much safer, as you can really hurt yourself by falling. Especially at high speeds, which will occure because you want to hold it as long as possible and for that you will get faster because you need to pedal faster. Please learn to just pull the brake as you notice falling too far back first. After that, it's basically just a matter of a few hours of practice and you'll be wheeliing for minutes with ease. Just remember to pull the back brake if the bike gets too steep of an angle.

@@logicmr.8351 Oh yeah then ignore what I said, you can learn how to wheelie on that thing without brakes... Wheelies really aren't hard at all if you get the hang of it.

@TestaFranco
@TestaFranco 2 года назад
Hmm I learned on the street and im pretty good at manuals. I dont like how he uses the brake to hold him up. Thats why he can put his body so much foward when he should be streachin his arms and puttin his ass down and back. In real life brake gonna do the opposite. Its gonna pull you down fowars so the position you are learning its useless at least you stop using the brakes.
