MtbFiend it's funny because I race Motocross and do huge jumps with ease but I'm trying to learn mtb myself and the smallest stuff feels so sketchy lol
Been off my bike for over a year with a injury and watching this has gave me a bit of inspiration to get back and try hit them trails a bit harder. Thanks mate 👍
The progression with his bike control is absolutely insane. Good on ya brother. Takes a looong time to learn that, and it’s the hardest part in my opinion. Anyone can huck, but few can actually CONTROL their bike while they huck.
That's a lot of progression. Very impressive. You have obviously been dedicated to improving all aspects of your jumping. Not being afraid to push yourself and bail from time to time is was key. Keep it up. That last bike park set at Snow Summit? was very impressive. Those ramps and gaps are really intimidating.
Yea ahhaaha its a bit easier when you reaaalllyyy love to jump and especially the mental fear factor of just wiping out, but once you understand it aint bad to crash and bounce back up to rehit it, you learn from it. Yea the last set was Summit Proline, those were the biggest jumps I have ever hit, definitely a lot bigger in person hahha everyone kept pulling off on the last one cuz it was big, I didn't realize how big it was until i looked at it from the side after I hit it lol
Nice work! I was headed down a similar path until I crashed and shattered my leg, 20 screws and 2 plates in it now. Was just bad luck but sadly no more jumping for me.
@@FesteringRatSub That is so true. Mtb has a dangerous side, but I have find that if you build skills gradually, rest enough and ride only when you can go fully focused you´ll avoid serious injury and have more fun on the trails. This coming from someone who ripped his ACL and later on blew his acromioclavicular joint (fancy name for shoulder), in both cases riding trails above its paycheck means something.
It’s usually the most un-mtb places you hurt yourself. Like the time I got impaled by my bar, because I was at a sketepark which was also a “n off lead dog park and you can guess where this is going. A dog ran in front of me, went otb and my bar twisted and lanes straight in my stomach. You never get seriously hurt on a 50 foot double if you know what your doing. Usually it’s someone else’s fault, like a car driver and roadies getting hit by cars (why I don’t road bike). Hope your ok though, I’m glad I’m not out of action like you
From dead sailor to steez. Genuinely impressed. This lad has the classic traits of a good mountain biker; a rangey gait, mentally resilient and quality weight distribution.
Thanks for sharing your progression journey. I know most people will just show the good jumps and not their crashes. Thanks for sharing the crashes too. It tells me that you aren't perfect and that you actually progressed through all the challenges you faced!
I thought it was incredibly inspiring. It has deffinetly got me to try some bigger jumps. You aren't going to get any were not trying and falling off. Great vid
super sweet. cool seeing u progress from little blips to big fatties, and all the while looking more comfortable and steezy. it’s nice loving a sport so much that we always want to ride, and if we always ride we can’t help but get better. well done.
The berm at 4:30 I flew off of when I was like 10 this video has brought back so many forgotten memories! I’m very local to you and i love your videos because I can see a pro hit all my back yard trails😂
Man I bet going to the Reign made a huge difference with confidence compared to your old bike! Nice work. That slowmo near the end really shows how things go wrong with a little mistiming.
That’s sick man definitely big difference once you got a full suspension! you were going pretty hard for having a hard tail bike too! good job man takes balls
This is wonderful to see. It's amazing how much improvement you made in two years. Jumping terrifies me but I still try. We have a May Luge Challenge if you can check it out that would be sick!! It's all for the fun of it.
MTB MOR Thanks brother! And that’s what it’s all about 🤘🏽🤘🏽 And heck yeah I haven’t been there I just watched your entire video it was epic! I’ll have to ride there soon!
@@mtbfiend4170 I hope you post a time and a video for us. I love your energy! It comes through in your comments. I am sore from riding by I'm fired up now.
Brooo you were doing great since the beginning! Have you ever considered to buy a dh bike? I began on this sport straight do downhill, and now considering to buy an enduro as well haha
Thanks bro! Not reallly right now, i did consider it but there isnt much technand stuff for that out here i think. If i did have one itd be sitting in my garage most of the time lol
Man I've been wanting to ride mtb for a really long time but I felt that at 25 I was late, all I want to do is freeride and thanks to this video I've decided Imma go for it. All I've done in my life is aggressive inline so any tips on good bike for freeriding would be appreciated. Great video dude and amazing progression!
At 0.50 I thought you was hitting the brick wall from the side angle, my face was scrunched until you went by as it was in the background lol. Good work building your progressive jumps, you have some nice lines..
I got me a nice hard tail 2 weeks ago. I'm just starting out in MTB. This is motivating AS FUCK! I think I'm going to copy this concept and film my own progression over the next 2 years. I'll be learning at Leeds' new Urban Bike Park! Have fun out there!
Start of small and get comfortable with something smaller, then find something that is slightly more challenging and commit to it. Keep doing this and you will learn to overcome your fear and you'll be sending huge gaps in no time!
