MTB Virgin, Utah Crashing on King Kong!

What injuries did I get? I separated my AC joint in my shoulder, was off the bike for a few weeks. I’m so lucky!

Crazy thankful about that one! Once I saw the sky come back around I knew, stop it now or never, WHEW! getting anxiety now even reliving it.

@Noondog it was definitely a grade 1-2 separation. I was off the bike for 2-3 weeks and regained most mobility within the first week. When I posted this on Instagram others said the same thing, looked like Rogatkin’s crash 😂 it’s definitely a really fun trail I can’t wait to go back and clean it up! Don’t be like me and ride it in the wind, good luck 🍀

Checking back in! I finally hit Kong, during rampage weekend. No wind. We descended during an eclipse! Super loose (to be expected this time of year). My buddy crashed huge. We’re alive.

Haha 600mg Ibuprofens are a great alternative. Was definitely on a RICE, regimen for the first few days.

Definitely not my proudest moment, I’ve seen many hit kong on enduro bikes tho! I was definitely sketchy and did a fair bit of skidding. Would love to comfortably full pull it smoothly one day.
