Very much appreciate the small edits to speed up the game. Makes the video much more fluent and enjoyable. Content's great as well. And my comment packs it in. Onto the next one.
I've seen a version by Andrea Mengucci with Fauna Shaman, Fiend Artisan and additional fight spells that make it work more like a combo deck. Fauna and FIend can search up for the obliterator, and the extra fight spells makes it more likely that you have both pieces. Looks real fun.
You can find a similar version (minus the Fiend Artisan) on MTG Arena Zone. But Mengucci also played a version like this, which is basically Primal Might and Obliterator in a Mono Black Aggro shell. I'm currently playing the Fauna Shaman toolbox version in Bo1 and it's a lot of fun.
Indeed. Mengucci tried this several times and finally made this work. However fauna shaman is a bit easy to be disrupted. mono black aggro shell is more stable (but less likely to pull off the combo). This combo isn't game ending though, so this version looks better
the patience with that Match 4 mono blue game was outstanding. very hard matchup to navigate. one well placed extra counter from that OP couldve been the end, cheers
Hey LVD, please consider the possibility of making a deck that makes as many trufflesnouts as possible. I believe this is the best creature to have an army of.
2BBGG target creature you control fights target creature you don't control. The owner of the creature you don't control sacrifices permanents equal to the damage dealt to creature you control. If anyone thinks they can word or design this better, by all means, do so.
@@JukesMcGee Target creature of yours fights target creature of opponent. That opponent sacrifices permanents equal to the damage dealt to your creature. But the templating team has decreed that all magic cards must read like a contract to buy a house, so I guess it can't be that short :P
Wierdly enough more than two months ago i've made a deck called Phyrexian Fight Club. Not that im interested in taking any credits, but Inscription of Abundance is a must have for this deck (x2 in my case). Fighting 32/32 Flying Twinblade Paladin at the Opponent's turn where he's about to kill you, is more than satisfying. Today also Craterhoof Behemoth deck instascooped even though he had lot of critters to sac. Fauna Shaman is another nice addition to keep this combo consistent.
Primal Might is fine, but Inscription of Abundance is far superior, just for it's instant speed and versatility. If you had had Inscription instead you could have had it hit the 24/24 Muxus and won. And has the nice saving of gaining some good life when Kicked.
I considered it, but with only 12 green sources it won't be kicked that often. The extra damage from Primal Might can make a big difference but as you stated being an instant also has its perks.
@@LegenVD I was not sure about scrap heap at first, but that little guy really pulls his weight. Keep up the great content, I also found I used the plus 2 counters side several times. I did take out Gutterbones to add in Unexpected Fangs which really kept me alive in some games that went long. but my favorite deck is my Haste Tribal, oh my it is really great, it is Ugin proof.
@@LegenVD i feel with inscription you'll kickoff the combo more often (which is more fun :) ). your version is more similar to a monoblack aggro which is more stable.
Video 3 of me pitching my idea to Legend in hope that he sees it: I think that when you come up against a deck that you have made a video for, you should link the video as an information box. For example, I think you played against this particular deck in the New Perspectives video, so you could link it there and people who want to see the opponent’s deck piloted could do so while you get extra views! Please like this comment if you’ve read it so Legend can see it!
Every time I see Ulamog it makes me wish they'd stop teasing us and just bring Annihilator into Historic. I know it's broken, but Historic is broken anyway, so...
Can you tell me how phyr. oblitorator is fair in any sense? Its way to cheap a 5/5 for 4 mana and then with this ability. How can a card like this exist? Should cost 8+ Mana
it's nearly only playable in mono black decks which is a huge restriction. In mtg mono colored deck nearly can only be the aggro deck because of restriction on removal / card draw for each color. In an aggro deck 4 mana 5/5 pseudo unblockable without any etb abilities is good but not that great, especially in older format. This card isn't that well designed, but not that ridiculous (comparing to for example omnath, which is also 4 mana)
Yes, but also can we get a play matchmaker than can distinguish between ranked constructed, cool jank, stumbling drunk jank, and Ijustgotoutofthetutorial.
