You know for a moment there I got ShellShock because i confused the Tibalt Planeswalker skin with the Tibalt's trickery card. I have never feared a card more than Tibalt's Trickery, and that is in the same universe as Oko.

Have you thought about putting in vorniclex to double the counters on your planeswalkers?

I saw the super long chapter bar and said "okay wait, I gotta get my snacks before this one". I'm glad it wasn't against some boring counterspell control deck.

Have you tried the Vorinclex version? It's a blast.

@@TheChzoronzon I got one in a pack and I have it as a 1-of. It’s funny when you ultimate Tibalt after Vorinclex. I couldn’t even see all the cards I had!

@@lexist7 Lily, Ugin, Tibalt... even Lukka tends to be devastating under Vorinclex, I mostly play 3cc critters and no 4&5cc so Lukka always hits Vori

Favourite card so far for me has to be prismatic Bridge, anything that warrants building rainbow has me happy.

Yeah I actually got the baby tibalt in a draft back in the day. I really wanted him to be good back then, but we all know how that went lol Brings a tear to my eye to see how far he's come haha

Golgari elves, Golgari poison, and Golgari counters with Vorcinclex are all good builds. I expect to see a lot of GB decks in the new meta

Elves and poison aren't good, and golgari counters wants to be Abzan, Jund, or even Sultai. So, I think this guy's correct.

I think that gb adventures/midrange built as a pile of removal with great henge is definitely playable, green and black have some great planeswalkers and the mana base is much better with darkbore pathway

Most elves in standard are pretty bad. The only half-decent BG list remains Adventures, for now I think. Pathway can help make that deck more consistent at least.

@@MineRoyale. I disagree. You won't see poison in tournaments, because they are bat for BO3. But I play BO1 in Arena, and a poison list with the squirrel that draws cards and the one mana fight spell that makes your creature indestructible is quite decent

Ah, thanks, I was wondering why it showed 14/14. But why is that correct? If LVD casts Beanstalk Giant, shouldn't it be a 7/7 if LVD has 7 lands in play? It seems counterintuitive that the "you" refers to the player this card belongs and not the player controlling it. Is it the way it works? What is the precise rule for who "you" refers to? For instance, if one casts a spell saying "target creature you control gains +1/+1", it won't work the same way. EDIT: Ah ok but no, here the creature is in the exile zone of the opponent, ok I got it. Anyway I'm impressed by how well MTGA manages to get all the rules right. For instance, when Beanstalk Giant's adventure spell is cast, it goes back in exile but LVD can cast it and not the opponent. I wonder what is the precise rule ensuring that this specific interaction will work as expected. One could imagine a "bug" in the rules of magic where they did not expect some interaction and it has a counterintuitive effect. I believe the bugs you are talking about are more client-related, like graphics and sound.

@@eggegg9026 Man, you got me curious what exact rule defines "you" that way. It's 109.5 currently (I had to start in the Glossary since a text search for "you" is not an effective strategy...). "The words “you” and “your” on an object refer to the object’s controller, its would-be controller (if a player is attempting to play, cast, or activate it), or its owner (if it has no controller)." So that means it really is 14/14 when in exile, but the moment LVD starts to cast it, it changes P/T to something else. So if he had a card "you can't cast creatures with power less than 10", he would be able to cast the creature showing as 14/14 because it becomes a 7/7 the moment he starts doing that...weird!

@@jerodast Yeah, I confused myself (and moreover I don't know the rules very well). I didn't realize that it was a 14/14 because it was in the exile zone of the opponent.

I like my unhinged lands though.

Ain't nuffin gonna stop me using Bob Ross lands. I also can't remember, but I think there is a creature in the set that makes snow lands enter tapped.

Thanks! The manabase is indeed the biggest hurdle. We also don't have a dedicated self-mill theme to get it in play early.

It's based on our curve and only wanting a certain number of an effect. Visionary is like Cultivate #5-6. Bonecrusher is cheap removal, but it also complements Thirst and Heartless Act and we don't need too many of those. Radha is decent, but it's a disaster if we draw multiples unlike some of our Planeswalkers that are must-answer threats. Midrange decks tend to have a wider range of numbers as opposed to decks with a more linear gameplan.

There's a different comment here where I go more in-depth.

Mostly because we want the extra land and the only non-creatures the opponent was likely to have were Planeswalkers which we had other ways of answering.

Feels clunky without Castle Garenbrig, but you could do worse.

We don't need blue, it's the only Red/Green land we can search with Binding.

Maybe with a full set of Goldspan Dragon you could make that work, the ramp is really important. Not sure if Blue has enough to offer over the Green cards.

@@LegenVD oh yeah with every mid range deck playing green to get big ramp its too slow without using the same tricks. i also noticed that since the shock lands rotated its been too hard to reliably play more than 2 colors without green. plus blue doesnt have all the crazy card advantage it once had. thanks for the brew!

This is not a tier 1 deck if that's what you're wondering.

I think they either miscounted the damage...or they were just THAT mad at Tibalt

@@KiuhKobold Seems likely since they had Soul Sear + Stomp for the 2nd Tibalt; Attacked then realised that Tibalt's plus gives 2 loyalty instead of 1.

That costed them a game, as LVD went down to 2 later.

There are better homes for Vorinclex. I would want Castle Garenbrig to help ramp it out and more Planeswalkers that benefit from the extra loyalty. Vivien doesn't really do anything special with Vorinclex and Tibalt is only great if graveyards are already full. I would also include more Sagas that can synergize with it.

If you want a proven decklist you should wait for MPL league play results.

Tibalt was great and resulted in at least a 3-for-1 when answered immediately. You need some ramp cards for Tibalt to shine, but he can undoubtedly take over a game. You might not have read the emblem part of the card properly if you think it's bad against instant speed removal.

@@LegenVD I did. I played against it. He's basically card advantage. His -3 is good but you also need to spend mana to cast whatever you remove, so it's not excelent, because you will almost never be able to cast both on the same turn. On second thought he is not that weak against direct damage with 7 loyalty points on ETB, but it's still expensive for the effects. Other DFCs I've seen from Kaldheim have a much better value for the mana spent.

@@eggegg9026 I know. What I meant was it takes a turn to cast whatever you exiled (because you spent all the mana on Tibalt) and depending on the casting cost of that, another turn. Maybe it doesn't even synergizes with your own deck and you don't cast it at all like most of the things Legend exiled but didn't cast on the video. Idk. Seem like a pretty average planeswalker to me. Maybe it's best if ramped on rakdos with Dream Devourer and paired with discard so the card advantage is a real win con. On jund it seems kinda meh.
