I love this deck. Who remembers the blue & colorless deck possibilities from around the Kaladesh/Aether Revolt sets? Gearseeker serpent, walking ballista, smugglers copter.

MVC: Midnight Clock

It's a neat concept, so I built this deck using your decklist. Out of seven games in unranked play, it won two. Usually I'd chalk that up to poor play on my part but, this time, I can't: the central problem with the deck is that it lacks things to play or responses to now-ubiquitous removal. Myriad Construct is a cool effect, but only one player ever triggered it. Forsaken Monument is likewise cool, but it comes in too late to help you, generally. Skyclave Relic is great, but it wasn't typically drawn on curve during my tests, so it didn't really help much. Emry is a major removal target and was only used in one game as a result. Overall, it worked okay against other decks that relied on a slow ramp, like Yorion Blink at 80 cards or poorly drawing monogreen. But it was toast against anything even a little aggressive because it lacked any response. On the plus side, the one time I managed four Ugins in a game was genuinely fun as was the imagined shock and horror on the face of the one person who targeted Myriad construct only to discover an army of 3/3 tokens (thanks to Monument). This is fundamentally a midrange deck that lacks aggressive control early on, without board sweeps, removals, and counters until you can play Ugin. When it works, it's pretty fun but it doesn't tend to work. I'll probably try to build on your concept by improving its early control abilities and removing cards that just didn't deliver on their promise.

I took this deck and modified it and it is actually pretty good. I moved 1 Monument and 1 Ugin to the sideboard along with two Midnight clocks and added 3 Fae of Wishes to the deck. I've also swapped some of the creatures out (Relic, 2 Simulacrum, and 1 Myr) for cheap counters like Negate, Miscast, and Keep Safe. Miscast and Keep Safe help fight Rogues and decks with lots of removal. It feels fantastic to play Miscast against Drown in the Loch. I do consistently lose to Mono Red, it just can't keep up.

I fought a rather interesting w/u version of monument that mostly played full permanent board wipes, cheap artifacts that drew cards and saced themselves, and reanimated everything using Dance of the Manse as a finisher,most of which of course were buffed by monument.

I truly love your channel, you play and build all the decks I am playing (only better). My version has skycleave demon/fling instead of blue and spare supplies instead of the relic. But otherwise it is exactly the same. It kind of works well, except that when I have more life than my opponent it is not a one hit kill

Animal sanctuary is an additional colorless land you can play that also buffs the stone coil [snake].

With the new wildcards I got this morning, I think I'll try a historic version of this with the Dominaria and War Karns. Don't know if it'll keep up with the rest of historic, but it sure seems fun.

Man, the monument is basically a colourless Nissa - doubles your mana and puts a bunch of power and toughness into play. I can see this deck becoming really toxic if a few more good colourless cards are introduced in the future sets. It's already pretty sick in historic, can you imagine this deck if there was a mind stone type of effect legal in standard? Ugh...

Every time I play I get omnath and mono red only. At turn 3 I flood mana usually and then die on 4-5. Nice too see how the game actually gets played.

I have a similar deck but it's mono white and it's more of a control deck. Anyway I run 4x Mirrodin's Core to help me cast wraths that have WW in their mana cost, and it still provide colorless mana for the forsaken monument. I also run treasure map instead of mazemind tome and the tresure tokens came handy more than once to provide white mana (also I don't have rare wildcards fore the tome so...)

Midnight Clock hasn’t worked that well for me against mill. They just about always have a brazen borrower ready to reset all the clock. Wish the ability atleast let you Scry 1 or something

Question on the MVC part, was there any clever reason why aisle 3, am i overlooking something or looking too hard?

I'd love the see the historic version. You get much better selection of lands, Karns, Ulamog, the two mana ramp artifacts, and 6 mana ugin.

I have been playing a similar deck but cut the Myr as it dies to everything. Also running Unknown shores instead of base camp but both seem good.

Gosh I do not like facing cycling decks... I feel like every deck I like playing is particularly weak against cycling. Anyways Legend! Another cool deck! I did not have the 4 copies(have 2) of the monument which seems to reduce the effectiveness of the deck... and my emry keeps getting blown up! But i did try it out with shimmer dragon, don't know if you considered that? Was quite fun to use

I just started playing mtg arena and I’m so overwhelmed by all the cards. So far I’ve unlocked the mutate deck and I have about 10k coins. I don’t know what packs to open or what to do with coins. Is there a specific deck I shud be going for as a f2p player?

The basecamp feel like a mistake. There are plenty of other options available. Unknown Shore or Labyrinth for example.
