I really admire your ability to keep cool when you get hit by stuff that just feels like the perfect storm- triple ruin crab start and all that. It's so hard for me to get all the bitterness out of my reaction when that kind of thing happens to me; before I can stop myself I've already said "Oh, of *course* they have a third crab..." In reality, I've made my peace with the fact that to a certain degree losing like that will always feel a little too personal to me. For this reason, among others, watching you is more enjoyable than playing the game myself. Keep up the content, man. I love it.

At 29:02 they didn't exile the scute swarm because apparition can't exile tokens. Great content as always keep up the good work!

They could've exiled the scute swarm, if they used glass casket to exile token instead, they made a mistake there.

I was originally rooting for opponent to find a shatter, since I hate Scute Swarm and want it to fail*. But by the third shatter even I was on the Swarm's side. *(some people think it should be banned, and that's a bridge too far IMO. I just don't like playing with or against it)

I always like playing against Scute Swarm decks. So many people try to go super wide and you throw one Massacre Worm down and it instantly kills your opponent.😀

At 5:00 you could have played double cobra + cultivate. Cobra + fable passage = add 1 and tap forest to play second cobra, fetch with fable passage, add 2 and tap fetched land for cultivate.

Nice to see Moraug in action. Game 3 was painful to watch though. I feel like the Zendikar Rising rogue/mill build was a pretty bad oversight by WOTC. Not that any individual card is OP enough to ban, but the overall synergy between good cheap aggro creatures, mill effects, card draw and counter spells that can be brainlessly held up with instants and flash creatures is too much for one deck. Are we all meant to build decks to specifically counter this one? How bland, honestly.

I feel bad for T_shiwaku. How hard is it for wotc to make people playing with starter decks only face other people playing with starter decks? Better yet, just create one 'Starter' option among the 'Play' selections where we can play with starter decks among ourselves.

Tried the deck but the lack of removal and early blockers is a big problem. 7 out of 10 matches I was completely overrun and dead by turn 4 and so while I really love your content I find myself wondering if you edit out most of the losses in these videos.

Hey legendvd, i got an idea! Make a serie of how to beat a deck, like the rogues deck or Yorion/Doom Foredolt deck, you got it! I'm serching for something like that on youtube for so long, because i always lose for the rogues deck, no matter the deck i was playing, is always "defeat"!

One thing i can recommend, though might not work for what you play, just put into your deck a thormod's crypt or two. I've had quite a few rogue players concede to me the moment i exiled my graveyard.

@@caioutsch2058 No real good way to avoid mill other than abusing it. Use good escapes, have a way to keep your graveyard small or gone and make sure to have removal for their mill creatures. Tormod's Crypt helps, but may be because i put it in my controlling, millbomb deck

Cultivate over roiling regrowth? Wouldn't regrowth be better since it costs the same, increases the number of lands on the field by the same amount but triggers landfall twice instead of once, surely with 24 lands you should be able to almost always have a land in hand?

Cultivate is usually more reliable and actually provides card advantage. You still want to keep playing lands in the late game.

I have used that card and still got multiple untaps and extra combat steps just spamming out lands on main phase one.

"If the landfall ability resolves during your precombat main phase, the additional combat phase will happen before your regular combat phase. You’ll untap creatures you control at the beginning of the additional combat but not at the beginning of your regular combat." So you can get multiple extra combat steps by playing lands in your first main phase, but you will miss out on the untap step for your regular combat step, which usually isn't optimal.

@@LegenVD Okay makes sense. When I had played a version of this, I went greedy by adding Greenwarden. So I would have 4 extra combat steps with fabled passage and the game would end before the 5th "normal" combat step.

I think Brushfire Elemental could perform very well in this deck. Maybe cutting two copies of Wolfwillow Haven?

It has great synergy, but doesn't fit in the overall gameplan. This deck is trying to go a little bit bigger and the potential damage from Brushfire doesn't always matter.

23:30 , it really feels like a waste to play your cultivate there. you already had a ton of mana but you need to drop lands for most of the threats in your deck, so dropping them like that doesn't look worth it.

Even a more fun and creative iteration of the Landfall big hitters in standard is so boring. I don't know the last time standard format got so stale so quickly for me.
