Any card that's so situational and does nothing on its own is a dodgy pick for the main deck. Sure it's great if we have both it and Bolas in actual play, but if we have a Bolas in play we are probably already winning, whereas in the situations where we don't we'd much rather have something else, i.e. removal/stall to get us to a stage where we can cast Bolas, ramp and/or fixing to actually be able to cast Bolas, good creatures to help us have a stable board before we cast Bolas, etc. In other words, even when the card is good its not that useful.

@@SirMcAwesome Yeah, that makes sense. I managed to put one on an Ashiok and win by milling in a sealed draft run, in more than one game, which made me excited about it. But if I think about it, even that is still very situational. I can see why it's usually not a great pick.

​@@LegenVD oh, rofl. Never went that far, thanks for the reply! :D I tried a Bolas deck too in my last draft, but I really ended up with an almost unplayable deck, so I really appreciate this video, in case of another Grixis draft!

He only uploads drafts which are interesting and go all the way, i.e. the times when it works out for him. Shitty drafts where things dont go well happens to him as well, happens to everyone.

@@SirMcAwesome I don't agree that's the case.. He's uploaded "bad" results drafts as well. Just the fact that he even built that deck with what he got.. shows he is good.

@@Big_Dai the fuck are you talking about? When did I say he is not good or ONLY uploads drafts which make him look good? You must have misunderstood severely. I said he uploads interesting drafts and it's almost always drafts which go to 7 wins. I watch pretty much every video and I can't recall one that didn't. There might be some but vast majority of uploads are good drafts, and it makes sense, as it's more entertaining. But I watch his stream too and just like everyone he sometimes has drafts that aren't great because of bad luck. That was my point to the original comment.

I noticed that too on a few occasions. I'm don't play bo1 draft because of that. Aggro decks never get punished by hand smoothing algoritm and I run at them most of the time when I go with decks similar to one in this vid. Like LVD said: "If he plays creature on 2 then we dead."
