The person who sold it to you didn't sort well enough. Usually they take out the most expensive stuff and leave you with garbage + one or two good ones, total value = cost.

You are dreaming if you think you can get $100 for those plains. They are just really off center without any of the adjacent cards showing. That's what makes miscut cards valuable to some people.
I got a large stack of cards and while back from a thrift store for $5 so far I have sold over $100 on TCGplayer and had the main Chase cards mythics from zendikar rising sea gate restoration drannith Magistrate As well as three triome from ikoria one borderless Still have plenty more....
Miss-cut cards highly depend on how much of another card is visible on it and how rare the card is to begin with. I have miss-cut lands from portal and jumpstart and I mean some weird cuts. They aren’t worth anything.
I have about a binder page of unglued lands. I always called them Magic currency because i had more but would trade them to fill the price gap of a trade. Since everyone wants them and their price is pretty stable.
The lands are off center but not as much as the example you gave. If the miscut isn't showing another card, it's not usually in high demand. Still cool though :)
These videos are so dumb, I hate to break it to you, not every collection you buy for chips is worth a mint, and even if that's what the Cardkingdom list price is that's not indicative of the P2P secondary market and Card Kingdom or TCG Player is not paying you top dollar, there is no profit there, also these cards are ungraded and unprotected. Buying single cards to turn a profit is risky and youde be better off just buying bulk of product and owning a position when the set goes out of print

Those miscuts are cool, but they only show 1 card. The desirable miscuts show 2 cards, and the really desirable ones have 2 different cards. Prove me wrong, but I think the price expectation for the lands is a bit out of view.

Together those lands arent worth a single dollar. Your $20 example is a miscut basic that was cut between two cards. The actual ones you got are NOT miscut, but rather off center. Nobody gives a shit about off center cuts unless they split two cards like your example.

For people that’s saying you won’t get 100$ for 4-5 miscut plaines. You can miscut cards or off centered cards are worth a lot more than the normals, there’s not many of them because it’s a “accident” card I have a off centered elsh norn card that is 44$ for a holo and a off centered one (I got it authenticated/appraised) it goes up double sometimes triple most collectors will buy these and not play them. Do research before you comment dumbasses
