MTG Lore: Nahiri the Lithomancer 

Nahiri has always been one of my favorite planswalkers along with Sorin so the idea of them coming together to fight with Ugin, Gideon, Nissa and maybe even Kiora against the Eldrazi is an awesome one.

AWESOME! What i heard after this, she finds Sorin, gets pissed that he was very uncaring, "whatever you handled it" and brought the eldrazi's to his home plane - Innistrad, which i thought was amusing

"She will play a huge roll in the upcoming BFZ ... " Maybe next time Seiben.

I just recently got back into MTG after like a 15 year hiatus, and it is mind blowing how in depth and intertwined the lore is from set to set since the introduction of the planeswalkers. This totally brings a whole new aspect of the game to me! Phenomenal video keep up the great work! 👍

interesting lore. i never really paid attention to Nahiri until recently, but after hearing this lore i hope she plays a big part in battle for zendikar.

I cant wait for Zendikar! the story is gonna be huge and with all the planeswalkers at once working together will be cool

I just can't wait till they confirm if she is even still alive and if so how she's survived so long after the mending

I'm actually not expecting Nahiri to make an appearance, but instead a non-walker apprentice. Nahiri was a pre-mending Walker, so incredibly powerful. But I would like to see a new Walker with similar abilities.

Cant wait to see what they come up with for the new Zendikar set, have my fingers crossed for the return of landfall.

Really hope they release a new version of Nahiri for Battle for Zendikar. I feel like Sorin also had something to do with the vampires on Zendikar so Nahiri probably wasn't too happy about that when she found him

I always wondered what her story was. It's cool that she teamed with Ugin and Sorin. Hopefully they'll make another card for her.

I don't hear often about the Commander planeswalkers, even though i like their stories more than some of the planeswalkers more focused on

I didn't expect nahiri to have so much lore already. Anyways, I hope she didn't die, since with a reprint on BFZ she could possibly replace Elspeth.

First and foremost HYPE TRAIN!!! Ok I didn't know much of this plansewalker and this explains a lot. I feel like the vampires got to Zendikar because Sorrin need to feed and well He kind of replicated what happened on his own plane with less spreading. I feel like the Vampires helped the eldrazi because the both feed of of things or just strait up mind control. Great lore video Seiben.

I hope Nahiri gets a decent official Standard constructed debut in Battle for Zendikar. :) I have no idea what her role would be, but I know it will be for the good of the multiverse and hopefully Zendikar.

Maybe the events of Innistrad happened after Nahiri left Zendikar.If so,my theory is that Nahiri somehow found Sorin on Innistrad,and confronted him(maybe fell in love,who knows...since Sorin is the only humanoid who ”could understand her pain of longevity”).Then she saw how bad things were going on Innistrad,or not,but this might have happened.Or she just found him and confronted him about not helping her.In anger(and maybe because of the stress) he dueled her,killed her(or badly wounded her),and then,after realizing what he has done,took her dead or weakened body and made her into Avacyn(maybe thats why he ”looked at Ugin awkwardly”).

Nahiri has a cool story. Hope we get more on her.

I have to say she's pretty awesome. I always wanted to get the white commander set just to get her :)

I hope they continue with this part of the lore when we go back to zendikar

I honestly like Nahiri's lore than most other planeswalkers.

I love this card and have been waiting for a lore of it for quite some time now.

Hmmm wonder what happened between Sorin and Nahiri. I look forward to the conversation between the Sorin, Nahiri and Ugin when they reunite at some point. Ugin might have to play peacemaker lol As much as I like Sorin, he can be a bit of an ass sometimes.

She is the reason why Zendikar is going to hell, She had one job and that job was to protect the plane but do to the reason of Khans of Tarkir, where Ugin had been killed, she couldn't do her job properly. I see exactly where she is coming from, since she had seen all her love and friends die and she couldn't go away because Eldrazi were coming, however I think she brings more planeswalkers to deal with the Eldrazi, along Sorin and Ugin

ABU, good source. I would like to see this planeswalker fighting somewhere else. But in a more meaningful plane. Zendikar is a great set, but the Eldrazi can go to any plane they want... But, apart from the mana-flooded plane of Zendikar, where else could the Eldrazi be drawn to? Which plane could offer them something better than what Zendikar has to give? Do you remember how successful Mirrodin besieged was? I mean, bringing back an old menace from pre-modern mtg into a beloved plane (old enemy/new world) Wizards really did something good. Now, something I would like to see is a never-before seen but previously mentioned plane menaced with Eldrazi (old world/new enemy). And what a better place than Equilor? Imagine Equilor, the ancient plane which was once the nexus, i.e. the center of the multiverse eons ago, menaced by the Eldrazi. I mean, imagine a place so great, misterious, ancuent and powerful that not even the great Urza could find it freely without the Equilorians wanting him to. It's even older than Dominaria. Imagine this planeswalker rescuing this plane side to side with Pre-mending powerful Equilorian Planeswalkers fighting with Eldrazis. A whole new world that belongs to Wizards, and instead of setting their stories in old and original planes like those, they preffer to make a copy-paste plane of greek mythology, namely Theros, or a Transilvania theme set like Innistrad. So much potencial, and forgotten.

Zendikar is the coolest plane with the coolest walkers.

If they reprint narhiri in battle they must give her a new kind of immortality (she was only eternal before cuz of it being pre mending time in the mtg lore). Maybe sorin after the mending bestowed vampirism onto nahiri and she gets mad or something and then she leaves sorin. Which would explain sorins awkward speech witch ugin.

Nahiri knew what was going to happen so she started her path to find Ugin like Sorin did

I like how her story progresses, and a character i would love to know the story behind would be Ugin

I may not win but is always awesome to see the lores of the planeswalkers specialy jace and sorin

I would think that what happened to Nahiri is that she may have died due to aging because of the mending, while Sorin and Ugin are respectively a vampire and a dragon and were thus still not affected by the passing of time, or just not as much in the case of the dragon

i actually plan to get the commander box with nahiri, but i would be cool to get a second nahiri for one of my other commander decks.

Nahiri is of my favorite from the last set of them.

In the Zendikar Book it was said that sorin created vampires as slaves to the eldrazi. Sorin Never confirmed it thou, but if true, he and nahiri probably fought each Other.

WARNING: This is just an idea I had. NOT Fact! I think Nahiri ran off to a new plane. Possibly the next set? But it was there she ran into Tamiyo and through a friendship bound by a common threat they talked and Tamiyo told Nahiri about the plane of Innistrad; and how there moon was made of silver and thought that might be of interest to Nahiri. Nahiri did not really care about the moon or innistrad until Tamiyo told her about the very powerful vampire who rules that land. Which would have peaked her interest and Nahiri ends up going to Innistrad after Avacyn is freed and balance is restored. And possibly having a run in with Tibalt? Maybe friendship with the devil planeswalker? Which would cause Avacyn to create a conflict with Nahiri and get recocooned? Forcing Sorin back? I do not know it just an idea.

Wow i had no idea that Nahiri was even involved in zendikar's plight!

I'm definitely hoping to see what has happened to Nahiri. Has she fallen? Has she been corrupted? it all will hopefully be told soon. Hopefully.
