I have been running into this deck so much lately! As a mainly mono red and occasionally dimir terror player this deck grids my gears haha!! Its a really really good deck though. It can tempo pretty hard not just control. God game 2 is a grind post sideboard though with all the red hate, just counter everything… it felt good to bait out ss sprite and then smash like 6 fairies with end the festivs to clear the way for lethal last night though

It definitely is a very very good deck but like I said in the video and like you proven it is very susceptible to board wipes if you catch them off guard and force them to use up all their counter spells!

Like you said though the recovery on that deck is great too though!! Gotta sneak that board wipe in at the perfect time. Also like you said gotta stick a few creatures early and keep them on the ropes… all in all that decks definitely got what it takes! I have it in paper and it is pretty fun for a blue deck haha

Absolutely man, I won't review a deck I don't physically own in paper and have played with in many matches or a tournament. I like to get a good feel for the deck before I give any sort of analytical review on it, so when I give these reviews its back up with proper playtesting and experience! Thanks for your support!!

What do you think about Snaremaster Sprite instead of Misceeants or 2 Saiba Cryptomancers instead of 2 Mutagenic Growths? I've been testing it out at my LGS but I am a still a bit of a beginner with the deck.

I actually considered this, Faerie Miscreant would be the weakest case to be swapped but in order to maintain balance between human and non human obviously it has to be non human. I'm my other video Snaremaster Sprite was the only creature card I was semi impressed by. It'd take some testing but I could maybe see the swap.

What are your thoughts on force spike over spell pierce and the new snaremaster sprite over faerie miscreant?

Snaremaster Sprite is an interesting option. I've thought about this back and forth and if I cut anything it would be Faerie Miscreant, but I'd have to do some testing to see if replacing it with Snaremaster Sprite would offset the tempo or help with the decks running bigger creatures that causes issues sometimes. It's an interesting option for sure.

Why is mono u better than ur? ur will beat mono u and red gives you a ton of answers to other decks

True, but sometimes you lose to pauper’s bad mana base. So there is that downside

The thing is, in pauper landbase is a big deal. that one tapped volatile fjord on turn 1 or 2 is a huge opportunity for your mono opponent

Tempo decks don't want tapped lands. Sure lightning bolt is cool and all, but you shouldn't let something you need to kill get past the stack with this deck.
