I like blackblade reforged, x/x where x is the amount of land you control. Costs 3 to equip to legendary and 7 for normal. When i only use it on legendaries it gets pretty op haha
I saw ... I hate commenting and then continue watching x)

I own all of the cards in Cranial Plating's cycle EXCEPT it, which pisses me off to no end. I love the Nim look of the card, and I want id to finish that collection and for my artifact deck.
"At number 9, we have one of the biggest mistakes Wizards had ever made." lol I laughed so hard when you said that because you were going so serious and then you hit the infamous skullclamp lol love it.
It depends on what you mean by "work," I'm up front that my top 10 is based on what cards were played the most at the premiere level -- it certainly works for determining that. It isn't the first time a card got banned because it was too good so it didn't get higher up the list -- it also gives me the opportunity to talk about bans and the history of the card if I use my method.
Razor Boomerang is probably like the 5th or 6th worst card ever printed...so if you could actually manage to win with it in a tournament, it would make you the best player ever.
Razor Boomerang IS an instant win with Gilded Lotus, Sol Ring, a creature, and Paradox Engine... it's just, if you have that much, you can instantly win with a shitload of other things if you have that on the field.
I played Sword of Body and Mind once. My board was enormous a couple of turns later. Card and board advantage made easy with Proliferate, spamming tokens of everything and spreading +1s across the board.
Simple. Legendary rule. Sealing your opponent's favourite creatures from play is powerful, +3/+3 is one hell of a boost and adding 2 to devotion… is great. I play it all the time myself.
Master, not enough to be on the list. Its not a horrible cards: good if your deck is built to bring back creatures from the yard. The other swords; feast and famine, fire and ice , do a lot of work regardless of the build , if you got a creature its doin something good. I really like body and mind because it take 10 cards, and gives you a 2/2 body. Great in limited considering its 4 swings and they are done for.
If you have the cards needed to rack up life while claiming your opponents' or really need to keep something out of grave, perhaps. Otherwise, nah. Shame, gotta love that Kaladesh special foil.
Very interesting video! Just some questions about the swords: shouldn't the score for Sword of War and Peace be 31? And what is the time frame for Body and Mind? Thanks for putting so much work into this and the other videos you make.
Nice list! I agree with a lot of other commenters that based on power level alone, Skullclamp should have taken the top spot. Also, much to the chagrin of those of us playing in Kamigawa-legal Standards, Umezawa's Jitte was never banned.
There is a Skullclamp in 2020 core, the words have been changed to "Whenever equipped creature dies, draw 2 cards" instead of "is put into graveyard". What difference does that make?
Umezawa’s Jitte also has the advantage of not needing to deal damage to the player. And the counters are attached to the jitte not the creature, so you can just throw something with this at any opponent and charge it up… guaranteed.
hey there I see amino. I'm the head curator. welcome to any new members that come due to this video. and also thanks for you being part of our community
I like to run an equipment deck based on running my opponent into the ground with incessant untaps to block and attack whenever, so I love the Vulshock Gauntlets.
@@NizzahonMagic Im pretty sure in modern it wouldnt do anything if it got unbanned. And i don't think in standard or historic it would really do anything. I just dont see magic being a game where equipment where you have to pay for the attaching does anything anymore.
I'd love to see how new cards like the MH swords, Embercleave, Shadowspear, Blackblade Regorded and the like are holding up to the classics. Likely can't keep up, but the lower spots might have changed in the past 3 years.
Nizzahon Magic I'd disagree, Body and Mind is pretty lackluster in commander, War and Peace is ok. Fire and Ice is ok because the card draw (the shock is rarely relevant). Light and shadow can get you a lot of value through the return. And feast and famine is beast. However, putting a batterskull on your commander is a quick way to clock your opponent down
Nizzahon Magic the reason I was thinking batterskull was because it can be hard to deal with since my play group likes to punish creatures through spot and mass removal. I do have war and peace in my equipment voltron deck though and it's the masterpiece as well. So pretty. If I was going to get a second sword though it would be feast and famine... I do already use cranial plating too, since my general is Alesha which makes it a odd build already but that's what makes it fun and good.
+Y2KNW Skullclamp is only fun to play if youre the one playing it. Even for EDH it is kind of a ridiculous card. If you are playing against it, it isn't fun.
