Lüleburgaz is the largest district of Kırklareli and has a surface area of 1018 km2 and has a population of 140,000. Lüleburgaz is the most important point of the dense industrial zone on the D-100 highway in Thrace. It is a region where many foreign companies, most of which are based in Istanbul, have production sites. Also, there are important pharmaceutical and textile companies in the region, as well as the glass manufacturing industry. Since Lüleburgaz is also an agricultural city, vegetable oil production takes place. Export of vegetable oil and other agricultural products are made in this region. Lüleburgaz is constantly developing and receiving migration due to the job opportunities it provides along with vibrant social life. We can easily say that Lüleburgaz is the second center of the province after Kırklareli center. Since Lüleburgaz has first class agricultural lands, it meets a portion of the meat and milk needs of the country. Fruit and vegetable production activities are carried out on fertile soil of Lüleburgaz. There are also greenhouses and farms in this area. Domestic and foreign investors who come to our region double their capital at least twice in a year. Lüleburgaz is 140 km away from Istanbul which is equal to an 80 minutes ride. The border gates to Europe are 70 km away and can be reached in half an hour. It is only thirty minutes from the port area of Tekirdağ. Since domestic and foreign capital inflows have increased in recent years, our district has been growing day by day and reaches an important position.
