@kevinsargent

Yeah no kidding. You'll be laying on the ground dead after training here in Thailand and they'll tell you you're ready to fight in the ring. An actual fight is 5 3 minute rounds. We train 1-2 hours straight with very few short breaks. By the time you reach the water and take 1 drink they're hurrying you back to fight. Usually around 4 1 minute breaks per hour if that. So you're conditioned to fight 15min without stopping and these training rounds are nonstop fighting. I used to fall asleep in the cab ride home due to exhaustion.

that is the difference between a simple streetfighter and professional fighter, the last one can take several blows in the head, get knocked down and still endure through several rounds, due to discipline and stamina he acquired through consistent training. Conversely, streetfighter can only rely on a lucky hard knockout, otherwise, his body can not withstand a long fight.

"Streetfighter" has some boxing background. He uses footwork, uses distance, has head movement in defense and works some angles. Most of his punching starts tight and with power but he has to over reach because he has to counter the feet. He is done after he takes a few kicks to his thighs. He is on his feet but limping and hurt bad. He has lost his ability to move and he knows he cant get away or put power into his punches because power comes from the legs. At that point the Thai is playing with him and could have ended it way sooner. Smaller Muay Thai fighters are most vulnerable in the initial encounters with boxers or other types of fighters while their opponent has his movement intact. They try to survive the initial encounters and land those nasty thigh kicks over and over to the same spot to disable the movement. Once done then they ruthlessly force the fight into movement to increase the pain and go on the hunt. Guys who fight them say you limp for weeks after they work you over.

As a boxer in the european neo-proffesional league, I completly disagree... You can tell since the beggining of the fight this streetfighter has never been in a boxing gym in his life... He is strong, but he lacks some of the most basic concepts of boxing, the stuff you learn in the first 7 months :S:S I think he must have watched a lot of videos about boxing, and may be he has a lot of experience in real fights... Yes, Muay Thai is 100% stamina and breaking down opponents body. I am a farang training in Thailand, it's soooo much work. Thai fighters hit gym daily and are constantly doing some type of cardio exercise and practice kicks constantly. Their bodies are solid muscle! This is why they can last forever in fights, even when receiving strong blows. I'm 6'2" and weigh 195 lbs. Even though I am much larger than everyone I train with, they can all easily beat the hell out of me without breaking a sweat. Even this 15 year old kid could wipe the floor with me haha. They are warriors to say the least!

Master Cha landed solid low kicks to the guy's leg. He kept doing it and it really hurt the guy. So his plan was catch Master Cha's foot when he does a low kick. But Master Cha kicked HIGH this time and knocked him out. 3:03 See how the guy lowers his left hand, expecting a low kick. He tries to block and hopefully catch Master Cha's foot. Actually, I think this was Master Cha's strategy all along. Early in the fight you could see him doing low kicks, then suddenly kick high. It didn't work. So later on Master Cha decides to punch less and do more low kicks, then switch high and knock him out.
@turtlepowersf
@turtlepowersf 5 лет назад
well....it's the #1, most fundamental strategy for every thai fighter. Thais learn how to defend the legs from very early on, much better than westerners. It's almost a sure win against most western fighters...beating up the legs to set up the high kick

Yup. Im sure fatigue had a hand in the loss, but look at his punches. There is nothing behind them. Its really hard to throw a good punch when your stance is affected. The legs generate more force than some will realize. Also if this was a real street fight the Muay Thai fighter should have been allowed to use all 8 points of attack. Looks like they took the clinch game away which would have ended it faster.

weight classes don't mean shit? Sounds like you're a manlet. If weight classes don't mean shit, why doesn't lomachenko go up to heavyweight and fight Anthony Joshua. Loma is clearly the superior technical boxer but he would get manhandled by any heavyweight
@goldenboy140
@goldenboy140 6 лет назад
weight classes exist for a reason. That's why smaller fighters stay in their weight class and don't go up it is that simple. It might not be that important when you are fighting someone who has never trained in his life but if you're up against another professional fighter then you can't overcome the size advantage at a certain point. All you're doing is making excuses for your fellow manlets because you feel insecure and want to portray yourself as if you could hang with the big boys.
@MrBrightSide77
@MrBrightSide77 6 лет назад
dustbin, i think he was talking about real fight or at least fight with less rules. Boxing is a very limited form of combat sports. Of course Lomachenko or even Errol Spence or GGG would have no chance against a heavyweight like Anthont Joshua because they are all boxers and they do the same things in the ring. Wheras in a real fight or even mma but not UFC, where you can use varieties of skills and body weapon it's a different story. Fedor Emelienko often destroyed guys twice his size who were towering over him.

As soon as the "Master", who by the way fighting drunk is not very respectable, was down the first time he would have been done. If you see with attention, in the last head kick, the fat guy tries to cover a leg kick lowering his guard and eating the head kick

manjitrupbikram harder to use on a taller fighter when your timing is off from drinking. Not to mention he was hurt early on. Maling it harder to think.

I think it is the rules, but I am not sure. You can see when they clinch at first, the MT guys raised his hands to stay clear.

well just an example, you think those muay thai legends like buakaw and sittichai are fighting under MT rules most of the time? no, they fight under k-1 kickboxing rules, which eliminates elbows and limit time on neck grappling. They are not getting most of their fame from muay thai bouts, they just represent tough muay thai discipline in thailand, not actually gaming with elbows. not sure about this guy in the vid, looks like neck grappling, knees and elbow are all taken out, so he's in the same league then, only representing the kind of physical discipline you would see from training muay thai, not given any favorable advantage in terms of muay thai rules

Cha hit em with the rock lee drunken style lmao. Honestly though, that's all from years of the eat, sleep, breath, live Muay Thai that the top MT fighters have. It literally becomes second nature to them, so even while drunk it makes sense why he can still fight like a beast lol. Good fight! love seeing kicks in barehanded fights, very underrated.

Fr though. If you ever tried punching against a heavy bag vs. shadow boxing, the difference is huge. You could go at a heavy bag for 3+ minutes, but you'd be out of breath from shadow boxing after 1 minute. There are two parts of a punch: when it's coming forward and when you're pulling it back. When you make solid contact, your fist bounces off the target which makes it easier to pull it back, but when you miss and hit air, you're expending a ton of energy just to repositioning yourself.

Not that unexpected. Muay Thai fighters usually start slow feeling out there opponent, taking a few hits to get their opponent’s timing down. The start of the fights are usually rough for them. Once he did get his opponent’s timing down however, he was dodging his attacks much better. Muay Thai fighters are also very resilient. They take hits but don’t go down. So they take a few hits in the beginning of the fight until they’ve fully analyzed and understood their opponent. That’s why he wasn’t phased by they guys hits at all, because he expected he would get knocked around a bit. Finally, from the very beginning the Thai was programming his opponent with leg kicks. Over the course of the fight all those leg kicks and his opponent thought every kick he throws will be low. Up until the very end, when you see the high kick the other fighter tried to block low. This was a deliberate strategy that takes time to execute, and Muay Thai fighters are conditioned to do so.

Who ever wrote this fight analysis, Your awful at it. He lost because he didnt check a single leg kick and thats why the head kick landed. He was so worried about his legs he dropped his guard.

Jon Tawney This Moron who wrote this doesn’t fight and will never. This master was lucky, he scored the critical low kick while the kid was worried about his hand wraps and indicating they needed fixing. Both times cheap shot. That untrained kid had this idiots number. Disgraceful “master”

Kicking the street fighters lead leg the entire time after the first knockdown set him up for the fake to head kick at the end and zapped all his power out plus swinging for the fences like he had been after he knocked him down. Dude was set up from the get go and I bet dude had his little Asian friends betting hard towards the end of the fight. Good for him tho, going into the projects and getting up on em haha good shit
