Hey man, thanks a lot. Your answer to my question on the Thinkdiag 2 brought me here (was looking for a scanner that could do Trumpchi. This is great but a little out of my price point 😢. Is there anything under 200 dollars that would do Trumpchi? Also is there any scanner at a similar price point (or higher) that wojld allow me do remapping/tuning? Or at tye very least a DPF/EGR delete?

Hi @Autofun Pls my question is partaining to your previous review on Tombo 360X. I noticed that it does not give option from the settings for what voltage to cut off power from the car battery when in monitoring mode when hardwired. Pls at what voltage was it actually programmed to do so. Thank you

Hi Musa! Ah on the Rydeen the cut off is not adjustable (a feature I'm seeing more and more often being omitted from hardwire kits ugh) The cut off voltage is 10V according to Rydeen. Cheers!

Thanks again for the reply and information provided. I really love the Tombo 360X, especially with the CM-D700 AHD side mirror cameras to be launched soon which it would support. But I am really worried with the voltage stuff (don't wana be getting frustrated by waking up to a dead car every morning). Pls would you advice the usage of Universal parking mode cable (Power magic Pro) to be used along with it? for the voltage cut off at the desired voltage? Thanks

@musaadedibu9316 Hi Musa! Ah yes I will probably review those once they come out, very neat for sure. Ah regarding parking mode, I run multiple hardwire kits on my car (at the same time) and haven't gotten stranded yet lol But it is possible even with hardwire kits with low voltage cut off. Now how long will it take for it to happen will depend on the car's battery, size, age, health condition and state of charge. In addition to that you also want to take in consideration any parasitic draw from other items on the vehicle that use power when the car is off. This is specially common on newer vehicles. For example I have an older Jeep that can sits for months a time with little to no battery draw, then I have a 2017 car that will almost completely drain my battery in a few weeks if the car is not used (mind you that car does not have any aftermarket devices connected to it). Here is the battery tester I use ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kCNrfa8RUKU.html if you want to test your battery for capacity and health, it can also perform a parasitic draw test if needed. I do carry one of this on long trips ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5eoewaav43A.html just in case but again I think my case is a little more extreme since most people only run 1 hardwire kit at a time. Hi J! The process will be very different from vehicle to vehicle as each make and model typically have a very specific procedure to do so. In addition the process to add a key will vary depending on how many keys you have, if your car requires a pin code, if you are adding a new key fob or a used one etc. And in some cases a dedicated IMMO tool will also be needed if you are trying to re-use a previously assigned key fob where you need to make it "virgin" again using the dedicated IMMO tool, or if you are trying to clone a key outside of the vehicle (and other locksmith level functions). Mucar does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to perform the function you need. Cheers!

Hi Moleka! Most Bidriectional scanners that support BMW allow you to update the idrive history (this scanner supports BMW as show on the vehicle coverage portion of the video), this is usually found under their Service Function or Maintenance Function. That being said while the scanner does support BMW actually being able to activate, modify or update a specific feature or record varies from vehicle to vehicle (some allow you to access more things than others) Mucar does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to access the specific function you need. Hi All! Adding a Key is typically a feature found in the Immobilizer module. This module could be access via normal diagnostics or via the Maintenance function, you can see the IMMO module when I got over the service functions at around the 9:00 mark. Cheers!

Hi M! If the milage has been modified, it may have been modified in multiple places making detection difficult if not impossible. However yes on some vehicles where the milage is stored in several places, and not all of them were updated, a discrepancy may be detected (there are also other ways to determine if a ECU has been manipulated but they are more complicated and usually only reflect that change was made but not what the change was) Cheers!

Hi Change! Tire inspection is normally done visually and with advanced tools (this is large equipment like mounting, balancing and alignment equipment) that are typically only found in large shop environments (not in homes due to their size and expense) Cheers!
