Thanks Eagle! Ah unfortunately, we are very restricted on the mounting location for the dash cam in my State. But the installer can place the dashcam higher by running the cable up the A Pillar if desired. If there is an airbag in the A-Pillar, here is my video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uZp95NbNlmM.html where I explain some of the issues that can pose. Here is also my follow up video showing video from different angles to help you decide the best one for you ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F7OzM2i7ErE.html Cheers!
I bought three of the Ring Car Cam. It is a lot better than most dash cam. It is better than the IQ Nextbase, Garmin, and the Nextbase GW622!!! How do I know, I have those as well. The monthly subscription is only 6 bucks and when you click on Live View, it's almost instant. You can also view the current location. Man, I hope they start making them again. I would buy three more as back ups.
Hi L! Here is my solution for that ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YEklm9V6xYE.html and when FitDVR adds one for BMW I will update this comment for you and the links in the description. Cheers!
Is it ok if I attach kit's plug directly to fuse tap hole (the upper) without attach to fuse tap's cable? I think the hardwire kit plug already has fuse itself.
Hi Dare! I personally don't like to connect the hardwire molded fuse into a fuse tap, because I don't like how high the assembly gets when stacking the molded fuse from the hardwire kit into the fuse tap and then having to deal with cutting and shutting off the unused pigtail so it does not contact anything, that being said, I have seen people do it (here is the video where I show this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wAad_JA7kz8.html at the 9:55 mark for those wondering what that looks like) Cheers!
Hello, thank you so much for the video!! If I buy the subscription, can I see what the dashcam is seeing when someone is driving my car? For example, if I'm in my office, home, etc. Or do I have to be close to the cam? Also, if the driver unplugs the power, will the camera still record and go live to the phone?? Thank you so much!!
You're welcome Joe! Yes you can, regarding what happens if the dash cam loses power, there is a small amount of battery in the dash cam so you maybe able to stream or get notifications for a bit before the battery runs out. Here is my follow up video where I cover live in more detail ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lBEGcLhevNed.htmlc and here is my other video where I cover how the dash cam works in more detail ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8bWYvNcam3M.html Cheers!
Hi JP! Here is my solution for that ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YEklm9V6xYE.html and when FitDVR adds one for Audi I will update this comment for you and the links in the description. Cheers!
Hi Mobe! On most cars the cigarette lighter port turns off and on when you turn on and off you car, which means the dash cam will come on and off with the car (so it will not drain you car battery). Cheers!
Hi Jay! On most cars the cigarette lighter port turns off and on when you turn on and off you car, which means the dash cam will come on and off with the car (so it will not drain you car battery). Cheers!
You're welcome H and thank you! Here is my solution for that ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YEklm9V6xYE.html and when FitDVR adds one for Chevy I will update this comment for you and the links in the description. Cheers!
Hi Sebastian! I show how to tell which adapter you will need at the 5:40 mark and you can also see what they look like so you can compare to the one on your car. I also placed links to the specialty adapters in the video description. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Yup. I got them all added and ready to pull the trigger. But you’re right, I better check on mine to see what kinda mount it has. Thank you for the informative content.
Hi Alex I enjoy your reviews and got Rove hardware kit with a question and would like to get some help. I got at least 3 spare 10 amps can I use them for "ACC" ? This Hyundai Sana Fe 2024 model and wish I can upload my fuse box photo. none of the 10 amps says ACC label - any suggestion would appreciate your help.
Hi Ram! Here is my follow up video where I cover how I find ACC and BATT on any vehicle ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K2iKXj82354.html However I strongly recommend profession installation due to the dangers mentioned on this video if erroneously tapping a critical system of the vehicle and the dangers involved with air bags. Cheers
Hi J! Here is my solution for that ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YEklm9V6xYE.html and when FitDVR adds one for GMC I will update this comment for you and the links in the description. Cheers!
My friend, this is a great dash cam video. Well done and thank you. I only say this because the last 9 vids that I watched were terrible. (Nice car! I have the GT)
Many old Shumacher chargers are AGM compatible using the "conventional" setting ("Old" as in 20 to 30 years old) I have 2 slightly different Schumacher chargers 2/12/75 and 2/10/50 amp. The 10 amp setting works great for my new AGM 65 battery delivering 13.5 to 14 VDC. (which fits perfectly and is going into my old 2004 F150 FX4, 5.4) Simply use a digital multi-meter as you charge to see your progress.
Hello, I saw your videos now since I bought the same camera but I get both images in the front and the back but in the saved videos it only records in the front and I want to know that it doesn't record in the back?
Hi Diaz! Correct, the dash cam will record both front and rear at the same time. If you are having issues with the rear camera not recording, it would recommend contacting your installer to verify the install and cabling is ok and you can also contact RedTiger for tech support. Cheers!
The manufacturing excuse was exactly just that, an excuse. Manufacturing electronics is the least of their problem. I think the reason reason is something else which i dunno the amswer. But def not manufacturing.
Hi Raymond! Here is my solution for that ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YEklm9V6xYE.html and when FitDVR adds one for VW I will update this comment for you and the links in the description. Cheers!
Hi Ham! Correct, it uses an inverter, however just like a Gasoline Generator uses gasoline to generate power, this Generator, generates power using solar energy. But yeah while the term Solar Generator has been around the industry for some time now, we still see that the term is somewhat new to some people. Cheers!
Hi S! Yes, this watch is an original Ferrari watch, but as explained on the video, there are fakes out there. I would recommend buying from a reputable source. Cheers!
Hi Rebecca! I have not reviewed the GX400 so I'm not familiar with it's buttons, however I would recommend having your installer check your install or consulting your owners manual for instructions on how to connect to the dash cam. And if you still can't connect, you can also contact FineVu for tech support and please keep us posted on your findings. Cheers!
Thank you Walt! Ah I placed the link to the Ford adapter in the video description, the listing includes which models the adapter is applicable too. However, yes your mechanic can also confirm if your mirror area has power if you like to confirm before ordering. Cheers!
Hi Y! I cover how to use the port in terms of explaining a few examples of devices that can be connected to it and also how to use it in terms of how to connect and disconnect to it. If you are looking for how to use the Tools that can be connected to the OBD2 port, here is my video on how to diagnose a vehicle with code reader ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cTXB6XeGsyA.html If you are looking for how to use it for power here is the video for that ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YEklm9V6xYE.html If you are looking for how to use it for access to the IMMO or breakout the port here is the video for that ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QAwpySOMQUI.html Cheers!
Hi Pat! Ah remember, ACC is a positive voltage. Normally when hardwire kits callout for VCC they are also referring to a positive voltage and GND is ground (negative). This is different from the function of ACC and BATT. ACC is typically a switched voltage source and BATT is typically is a constant voltage source. Here is my follow up video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yky9_tTvwMc.html where I explain how hardwire kits work and what their connections do. Cheers!
Its rubbish after a year. Mine is not recognizing memory card, rear camera or gps. It's literally now useless because the main unit does not recognize anything attached/inserted to it
Hi GG! Oh wow sorry to heart that, mine is still going strong (but I will update this if something changes). I recommend contacting your installer to check the dash cam or you can also contact Wolfbox for tech support and please keep us posted on your findings. And I have more mirror dash cam reviews on my channel in the playlist "Dash Cams Reviews" if you like to to try a different brand Cheers!
Hi Yellow! Ah good question, that will depend on the car's battery, size, age, health condition and state of charge. In addition to that you also want to take in consideration any parasitic draw from other items on the vehicle that use power when the car is off. This is specially common on newer vehicles. For example I have an older Jeep that can sits for months a time with little to no battery draw, then I have a 2017 car that will almost completely drain my battery in a few weeks if the car is not used (and that car does not have any aftermarket devices connected to it). Here is the battery tester I use ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kCNrfa8RUKU.html if you want to test your battery for capacity and health, it can also perform a parasitic draw test if needed. I do carry one of this on long trips ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5eoewaav43A.html just in case but again I think my case is a little more extreme since most people only run 1 hardwire kit at a time and I run several kits on my car. Cheers!
Hi!! I hope you are well. Did you also have difficulty removing the plastic fuse cap for ACC power? I can’t get it off no matter what, using the remover, it just slips off.
Hi Nightmare! Here is my solution for that ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YEklm9V6xYE.html and when FitDVR adds one for Chevy I will update this comment for you and the links in the description. Cheers!
Hi Frank! I have not seen the connector for the 2020 Corolla, what I typically see is that sometimes the connector color is different even in cases where the connector is the same (connectors can come from different suppliers). So, I usually go by the number of pins and connector keying (the shape that prevents mating to an incorrect connector) to identify a connector more than color. Cheers!
Hi A! Ah yes here is another solution ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YEklm9V6xYE.html if you don't have power in the mirror area of the vehicle, Cheers!
Hi Cool! There are several ways an installer will feed the fiber into the trim of the car. One way is like the shown in the video by just tucking them into the panels, the other is by drilling a hole in each panel for the fiber to come thru. And here is the full review video so you can see the rest of it's features ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vWKoJN38-Ro.html Cheers!
Hi Richard! That is strange shouldn't do that (mine is still going strong but will update this comment if something changes). I would try restarting the unit and if it still does not work, I recommend contacting for tech support and please keep us posted on your findings. Cheers!
Hello sir I love you reviews I'm thinking to buy a DVR which is based on Android System and I have found one. It also supports 4G Sim cards. I will be glad if you review it. thank you ❤
Thanks Sudhansh!! If you have name and model of the unit I can probably take a look. I'm super tied up right now but I will see if we can add it to the list of to review (list is getting longer by the day! LOL) Cheers!
