Much Better Than I Initially Thought - Bungo Final 

The shot at 2:00 Minutes is a very good example, why you shouldn't trust your eyes alone with the aiming system. If you keep a close watch to the minimap you'll notice that, at the moment the guns are fired, the aiming reticle is offset to the north side of the ship class sprite on the map (which is the closer side, relative towards the own ship). Only right after the shot is taken and the camera moves back to normal view (out of zoom), the reticle will go dead center on the yamato. Additionally symbols on the map have just one standard sprite per ship type- meaning it is not the actual width/ length of the ship. These sprites can (and will be) be slightly bigger than many actual ships would be on the map, if they were to be represented with an actual model. All in all we had a bigger- than- the- ship- sprite und we aditionally aimed at the outer edge of that sprite (meaning the reticle, not what the camera view showed us!). Et voila- shots fall short. I'm not saying this is a good aiming system, or that it isn't buggy, or whatever. It is just something that I also noticed on other videos and my own replays. And that you shouldn't always trust your actual visuals. The camera changes might have done more than bugging the reticle at some points...

There is nothing "less satisfying" about 10k+ salvos with fires into angled battleships. That is 100% satisfying af.

This whole line still seems sort of meh. I get that it's sort of set up for HE spamming since it has weak armor, weak AP at range, and no torpedoes, but we have enough HE spammers already. The British line still seems far better at HE spamming, especially at range, and has better AP values apparently. I certainly would never spend real money on early access events, or anything else in this game anymore, but when they're free I'll try them. Great series of videos, thank you.

I think between the cyclone shot and the storm it shows the ballistics and reticle aiming are fine but whatever they've done for the auto-aim and lock on is bugged

hey i have a theory about whats going on with the aiming system. i believe that the target lock on has to happen in first person view, whereas a 3rd person lock on with then zooming to pov would increase the chance of shells going low or high. would have to test that tho /aintnobodygottimefothat

I'm thinking of going down this line and saw a spreadsheet that showed that is secondaries are actually pretty strong, I'd love to see you do a Full secondary build Bungo sometime!

The Slava does not have smth strange in its belt armor that makes ap shatter / bounce when broadside?

i still believe that the tier 9 and 10 still should have more ap pen and deal atleast 14.5k damage

Ashitaka has Amagi shells iirc; its the mutsu that gets weaker shells than the nagato

Its not random dice, its how much armour the ships you are shooting at have.

Consistency is the lowest bar where I start judging a ship. I'll wait till it gets ironed out into the shape of the current meta to bother with it.

How about IFHE on those ships? I think it might work well since you probably gain a lot of pen for not a lot of fire chance.

Did you try secondaries? I know that these are not, strictly speaking, secondary ships; nor is the armour really suited. Just a question as to their performance IF specced into and IF given the opportunity to shoot.

Ngl, I kinda like this more. Having both ammo types be proper options and having appeal in a BB is something that all BBs should have had, but I'm glad we are finally getting it. Same for Brit BCs and BBs and even the French line if you are good enough

I would have found this new line if WG had given these ships either tops or secondaries. But as they are, I will eventually get around to doing the grind.

Ok, I know I wrote that thingy about Montana in my previous comment. So, data: At 18.9 km, pen (angle of impact relative to normal): Monty: 450 mm (16 °), Bungo: 448 mm (13°). Either there is something more effed up than the aiming system or Monty has quite actually worse pen at that range. (Due to the angle of impact.)

You didn't say it but it's simple how to resume this line, Bungo line is basically an oversized Azuma :) Bad armor, good enoug ap, great HE, good dispersion, no torps, and you play basically the same as well

In all Wargaming games, RNG is crucial. Of course, there is always a better or worse ship, plane, tank or an better or worse player, but still the RNG decides.

Just researched the Bungo, first game in it almost made me quit wows, its a terd past 18k. I came back here and re watched the video and noticed he is playing at close ranges. At long ranges only fire at still targets, Bungo shoots so high ships are gone before shells come down from orbit.

You are just wrong when it comes to the Montana getting citadels on that Slava because don't forget Slava has the Kremlin armor scheme which means it is angled in a way where it get thicker the higher impact angle you have so Montana with its slow shells well bounce Slava broadside at that range easily

so a 10 guns thunderer without the superheal/advanced heal. such originality WG....instead of keep releasing half already mashed ships, they should fix the game. remove CV, remove subs, fix old t10 stats. I know i can dream lol
