In this video I'll be installing a Voswitch, its basically the same thing as an sPOD but at a much cheaper price point. Basically an all in one fuse, switch, and relay box. Voswitch makes a direct bolt in kit for the JL and JK Jeep Wranglers and also the Gladiator. They also make a universal kit that can be used in any vehicle setup although you could use the JL kit in any vehicle as well. The button colors and functions are programmable and its a pretty neat setup. In this video I'll show you how to install it and how it works.

looks like a cheap Spod knock off! Well a first gen Spod at that. Wonder what kind of support you get with this. I had a problem with my spod and I called and got great help...bet you can't with this. I guess if you can't afford a SPOD this will do for a while.

The sPOD monitors your battery voltage and will shut off everything if it drops below a certain level.

as a note: you can run the wire in through a smaller hole in the plastic if you route the wire through before you crimp it to the fuse holder and terminal. you should finish by sealing each hole with RTV or some similar sealant to keep water out of your fuse panel and relay box. can not say I care much for the strobe effects, but I may have to look into the universal version for my Tacoma. sPods are seriously over price for being an over glorified fuse box and switch bank

Thank you for videos like this. We’d been procrastinating on this one because we weren’t sure on how we wanted to route the wires. We have a different switch pod, but really similar to this one. Never even crossed our minds to run it under the windshield. It’s the little tips like this that make your vids so helpful. Your steer smarts vid for example highlighted a bracket I didn’t know I needed bc it wasn’t mentioned on the website. So thank you for being so detailed.

Did you know you can ground your lights inside the box? thats the whole purpose of the grounding directly in the battery.

I have purchased KC 6 Cyclone LED Rock Lights kit. Do you have any tips on connecting all 6 wires into 1? so that I can connect the wire to the VO Switch. According to KC, each wire runs 3 amp making it total of 18 amp. Is it safe to insert the 20 amp fuse to the VO Switch? Any help will be appreciated

I'll stick to my sPod. sPod is a small family owned business, and they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Oh, and all their products are made right here is the USA. This is just a cheap copy of their idea.

I only have 1 pre ran aux switch wire in my cargo area. If I have one of these type of s pod controllers then could I have the lights use multiple buttons to control multiple lights without having multiple wires?

You could install it on anything... it's just listed for a jl because its setup to mount on the fender. So you may have to mount the box in another location. And that dash insert probably isn't on a jk.

I ran mine through the rubber plug on the firewall. If you pull that out and drill a small hole, shove the wire through. Take a thick wire as a snake and shove it down itll pop our of the opening. You'll see what I'm talking about. Then rtv the wire hole after.

so every accessory you add...the positive goes into the module BUT the negative goes anywhere you want that is a good ground?? i thot these switch modules regarless of brand had the hookup for the negative alongside the positive inside the same module?

word spamming. fine to buy something cheaper but how about doing a few of all the systems available? Besides the spods there are other great brands that have different capabilities. And not cool for us to watch you "figure out" how to install something. Figure it out and then tell us.

You disconnected the battery incorrectly. 1) disconnect the battery sensor on the negative terminal first. 2) disconnect the stop start batter negative terminal. 3) then disconnect the main negative terminal last. When reconnecting reverse ordered connecting the battery sensor last. . Sorry just the factory process

The ball and socket mounts are "RAM MOUNTS", you can find all kinds of accessories on Amazon to extend the mounts out farther. I use these on my UTV to mount Go Pro's, and on my motorcycle for my phone mount (just like you have) and GPS mount. I love them.

As an electrician, it is horrible to have multiple negatives bolted to random parts of the chassis/body. Any mod i do to my 4x4 i run the negative back to a dedicated negative terminal block.

so i bought this and love it. im looking to get pod lights with two colors, white and amber. how would i make this work with the voswitch switch module? i know the pod lights come with their own clicky switch which you use to cycle thru the different modes?

Does this switch remember if you had your lightbar on once you restart the vehicle. So, I turn on my lightbar, turn off vehicle, come back later and start the truck. Will the light bar remember it was on?

Should always check direction of current in fuse box, fuse location S52 fuse before adding a "add-a-circuit". You could be running current around the fuse if you put it in the wrong way, thereby bypassing the fuse. Your Welcome... Just-Saying...

Jk switch panel is ugly, wish it looked like the Jl version. Probably because of the mounting locations but still. If the price difference wasn't so dramatic id just buy the jl kit and store the extra parts.

I just ordered and bought my first ever Jeep. A 2021 JL Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. So far I totally love it! I bought my Rubicon with the 4 aux switched from the factory but they are not enough so I am going to have to look into getting one of these for my Rubicon. Thank you for the video! Hmmmm..... I've been trying to decide which one of these to get. Brand new JL and I'm adding things little by little. The one thing I see already that may or may not be a problem for me is I've already used that Cig lighter fuse for the DRL's built into my headlights so that they will come on automatically during the daytime. It's early and I'm not caffeinated yet, trying to think of how to get around this. Any ideas anyone?

Installed one of their 6 rocker kits in out F550 Type 6 fire truck to control all the scene lights and emergency lights.... Great product and happy with it so far. and was on $160 for the basic over the mirror 6 rocker kit. Not sure if they have it for the JL but they also have a Pillar POD using the button panel seen in this video.

I installed one these bad boys in my JK about 3 months and I've gone Jeepin in mud, rivers and lots of snow and its held up very well! Its nice not using those little red light switches cause after 6 pairs of lights it begins to get messy. For me, it was a very wise investment and parts are good quality.

Very similiar to the flexible, programmable "sticky" pad product that went out of business in '13/'14. Except their product was just the switch pad and not the entire kit iirc. Programmable switches is a slick idea that's got the "cool factor" but can also be very useful. Not a bad price either, especially considering it's a complete plug and play kit. Thanks Matt. I wouldn't have known about this if you hadn't done the install.👍
