Jenny Lord have mercy I am with you on this humidity.... Is a booger 🥵 it will take your legs and your tail out from under you before you know what's had you...... And if anybody has asthma that's a whole nother deal in itself... Both me and my mama have it.... And we both love the garden.... But in this hot humid thick we have to do your gardening in tiny little increments.... Otherwise we'd kick the bucket LoL 🤣 we enjoy yalls videos so much.... I made my first visit yesterday!! I live 3 miles away in Thornbird Meadows.. We are in the process of redoing all my plant beds from scratch. We removed EVERYTHING!!! I will definitely be returning!!!!!!

It was so lovely hearing Nature's music while you and Mimi toiled. 🐦 🕊️ 🐦‍⬛ It's a nice sense of accomplishment after cleaning up a garden bed. Ahh! Oh, Jenny, by the way, I am in love with your auger (mine is green). What would have taken me hours to plant a 'Charles Joly' lilac in my sister's memorial garden was complete in lickety-split time, even with root competition from neighboring maple tree. Her birthday is May 27 so I want something blooming then. The 'Prairie Fire' crabapple I planted more than 20 years ago died a few years ago. Marcia would 💕 the sweet-smelling lilac. It's surrounded by tons of white anemones blooming their heads off. So pretty. Now I want to get a couple 'Duchesse de Nemours' peonies. So fragrant.

I'd love to borrow your Mom for a day of weeding! Like the previous comment, I can't let hubby any where near my garden. He and his friend tried to help me one year and pulled out a few too many beloved plants :)

Does that excessive amount of rain kill (drown) your plants like over watering does? Sending all my love and prayers that ya'll catch a break and definitely before the wedding. Living here on the Texas Gulf Coast I completely understand the humidity... Sometimes you can see it in the air, all the moisture, and how thick it is to just try to breathe. 💜🙏💜

We have very hard water so I actually love it when it rains my garden does SO much better when I don’t have to water it. 💐💚🙃 But I can also understand too much rain is a problem for you. My daughter lives in Va. and she saying that they may have flash floods again this weekend. The last one they had several weeks ago took out part of a Costco parking lot. 😱💐💚🙃

Look at how big and prolific that oregano is!! Wow! And the Loropetalums too! I needed that rolling tomato planter the last two years I planted tomatoes, with the spotty sunlight I had I was dragging the container to the sunny spots several times a day. This year, some trees have been cut down so we get a little better sunlight than previous years and we have raised beds now. I bet the blackberry plant will work out well in that too! That whole cottage garden and chicken coop area looks really nice!

We had a massive hailstorm here in Greenville, NC - shredded my Hosta leaves and Sweet Potato vine leaves. It was hard to see but you can't control Mother Nature. I have a rabbit eating my coneflower leaves 🤣 I'm thinking of getting one of those tomato planters next year. I'll watch to see how you like it this year.

No, we don't need rain up here in upstate New York. This week has been so hot. We go back to the 70s next week. Today is going to be 90, and we are going to have a very rainy two weeks coming. Lets all send the rain to the desert. Last Year it rais so much last summer many of my plants didnt like it.

Great to see your Mom in the garden and Brenna searching for pesty smart bunnies. While you feel sorry for yourself for being chosen for a once in a lifetime wedding, a day of rain instead of months/years of clean up from tornado or hurricane 5 and people willing to pay a thousand each to spend the day on site. Meanwhile friends and family are there for all of the events. Hope you wake up soon to see how very blessed you are at the nursery.
