Hey Congrats on your first crabbing trip you did so well guys. Yes definitely get a gaff or fish net to grab floats if you are not tying to trees also always try to clean / cook crabs in fresh seawater but hey it all worked fine for you. Great Video. Cheers Denise- Brisbane

Bowly brother invest in a gaff or a hook of some kind for grabbing your floats out of the water, keeps your limbs safe from lizards haha 👍🏽

Little tip for ya Bowl's, Ziptie the net where you close it so you know 100% if someone has touched your pots.

We have been eating caught muddies out of my local creek. 10 on the first trip and 6 on the second trip. Very tasty and you enjoy it. I love the knuckle meat. Chilli mud crab is a real treat done in a wok.

Gillie is used to scaring sharks with a fly rod…… surely a little croc is no problem 😂

for muddies seperated into halfs 13-15 mins once the water gets back to the boil, straight into seawater brine/ice for 15-20 mins

Invest in a plunger so easy to hold crabs down, great content 👍

Place your floats in the in mangroves save floats going underneath from bigger tides and change your colour line if your going to do a night run!

Thats a cracking haul there bowls for the first time all by yourself, not sure if all trips will be that good haha. raiders will just become a fact of life, I've even tried leaving pots in plain view along a very busy stretch of river and come back to them opened up. getting a super shallow draft tinny is good to get up creeks where the typical stingray won't bother checking and keep your pots safe but then with the crocs that seems a bit dodgy up north. off to a great start on the crabs and the new boat anyways yew

Good effort mate, Same pots I use, last long enough and not too worried if they go missing. Best to keep them alive until just before you cook them. All crustaceans start to decompose super quick once they die.

Truthfully I’ve never caught, cleaned or cooked crabs, but I watch a ton of cooking vids and I’d say doing a Cajun boil with them would be really good! Or if ya wanna keep them simple, a garlic herbed butter to dip the meat in would be amazing too! Love the videos man 🤙🏼 Much love from Florida

Great job catching and cleaning the crabs. Cook them in a chili plumb sauce next time don't boil.

black rope and tie them off a little further up in the drains or off the banks, big zip tie over the hook also to tell if they have been in the pot. sometimes even zip tie is enough to keep the voulchers away

You need to teach Andy how to catch crabs lol

#1 get a kill crate to dump crabs into. #2 change the rope to thicker rope tie rope to top of pot #3 get small gaf so you don't have to lean 3/4 out the boat to get the float(especially in te Proserpine river) # 4 squeeze the underside of the edge of carapace , if it is "soft" throw away #5 learn to tie crabs quickly without getting nipped #6 get a 3 ring burner to cook crabs on #6 a bucket with lid to hold some ocean /creek water to cook crabs in .#7 get your self a $300 trail cam facing your pots so you can give to authorities after yo get 20 or so people on camera thieving your crabs# 8 always clean crabs in salt water see #6 . ....thieves " I never took no ones crabs! i am shocked that you would accuse me , you calling me a liar ? " we have you on film mate here is a $1000 fine .. Thieves "F*&^%N pricks dobbed me in , let go steal some spare tyres off trailers ......." Buy some Zip clips or assorted colour to zippy tie you pots closed . make a bait basket out of some plastic/ gal mesh .Props for gettin into them ....into ice Stops the cooking process and seriously get a dam 3 ring burner asap cook out side so the cheese and kisses doesn't come home and asked what prawn trawling whore did you have over while i was at work !!!

Clean your crabs the same way but steam them, don't boil them. Flavour is so much better.

Not a bad outing to enjoy crabs n beer at end,youll have to do a collaborate fishing day with timmy turtle that would be interesting i believe ur a bit more playfull than timmy hes mostly business but thats what makes it good!!dont forget ur tags on traps n floats timmy found out the hard way,snooky pa.cheers

No one EVER pulls crabs apart to boil them, you've destroyed half the flavour...if you boil them FOR GODNESS SAKE,leave them whole...if you're doing them on the barbecue, THEN you take them apart so you can impart sauce such as garlic etc, but PLEASE in the future, if you're going to boil them, use salt water and leave them WHOLE! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Guess you never seen what a pike eel can do to crab bait. ? Steal it all in minutes. Destroy your mesh on pot too
