Let's keep the 2018 theme going, mud. The best part of ear corn, it doesn't need much attention for storage. Pick it and forget it! Beans are still too wet. Dad is working on corn across the field.

My grandad had a rare Ford 2310 in the mountains of NC. We picked corn just like this! Watching this is like stepping back in time for me with my Granddad. They bought the 2310 new I think in 1981 or 82 had mechanical brakes that squealed and it was so weak lol I use to think it was the biggest tractor in the world when I was a kid. Thanks for posting this video good work Sir

bought me a set of ratchet wrenches a few weeks ago and have fallen in love with them. very neat how you used the screw jack to tension the belt. mud farming is not fun... or at least not fun to me... but then we have to work with what the weather gives us. I enjoyed your video thanks for taking the time it took to make it and put it here.

They're still pretty popular in less developed parts of the world they still make them new, places in India have new production reaper binders. Three point mounted. On small scale things like this just work better anyway. I can only imagine a big 20-30-40 ton combine getting stuck on these conditions.

My sump pump in the basement is running non-stop because I put “drainage ditches” in the 100 acres around the house with the combine. It seems that it’s all running toward the house now! With as much rain and snow as we have had I won’t be doing any bean ground tillage until April.

If you need that other set of rice tires JB come and get them and use them on the Ford, They got lots more meat on them than the ones on it and you might go a little better with them on it. Picking corn in the mud is never fun unless you like slip sliding away ! LOL Bandit
@boehmfarm4276
@boehmfarm4276 5 лет назад
I'm looking for a set of 28L26s when I get my combine running. So I did grey struck the other day and used the 2910 with the bf Goodrich Silvertown rice tires to pull the wagon out. I clawed the whole way back using tracks I'd already made. The deeper tread just cut up the ground more than packing it down for the wagon to ride over.
@banditfarmer1900
@banditfarmer1900 5 лет назад
Finding tires is the easy part, Coming up with the money is the hard part and finding a set on rims to fit your combine is the other hard part ! With 28L's on it you need to find a set of knife tire to go on the back so you can steer it so you can go ware you want ! I'll keep an eye out for a set of 28L's and let you know if I find any.
