I loved this video!! I am a Native Arizonan so flash floods are in my blood. I don't think the average person realizes how dangerous and sudden they are. But, thank God for the rain, we can maintain a very large population in a desert because of the tributaries and the runoff into larger waterways!! Thank you for sharing this footage, we'll done!

I saw a video of a family driving through a canyon to park up and take a hike, but it started to rain and flash flood. The family quickly got back into their vehicle, and started to drive back out, but the waters were getting deeper and deeper, so the father decided to drive onto a small elevated island and wait it out. As they sat in the vehicle waiting, they saw another family in a compact car floating backwards in the flood waters, they slammed into an overhang of rocks, but they were actually saved from getting stuck because of the force of the waters pushing them. Rescue had gotten to the family stuck on an elevated island, the mom and kids were flown out by helicopter, while the dad waited for an all terrain vehicle to pull his truck back onto the road. It was an AMAZING story, just look on RU-vid for the family stuck in Utah's national canyon.

Reed, I love how you have diversified your incredible knowledge of "intense weather" to include Monsoons in addition to your infamous Tornado coverage. It was a Brilliant decision. But that's not all ...The free videos you are providing to the public via RU-vid, I know are making a Huge impact on students of all ages. In addition, children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to understand and learn how intense weather impacts their lives and future, are able learn from your new EXCITING videos ! WOW! How cool is that?! I encourage everyone to like and share your videos to generate donations for you to keep up the great content! ps. love the haircut, your looking great! "keep dominating" 🌪😮

I've seen lots of these. I grew up on a hillside that had a wash running through the valley. Whenever it would rain a lot, we'd all ride our bikes down to see how much the wash had come up once it wasn't raining too hard. I've seen the water eroding at the banks of the wash several times and even lapping at the bottom of the bridge.

This monsoon season is one of the most intense I have ever seen. Las Vegas got absolutely flooded just a few weeks ago. And Lake Mead actually rose several feet because of all the rain. And now The region is getting more rain because of Kay’s moisture and remnants.

I've seen Arizonan rains, and it was pretty intense. Nothing compared to a couple of years ago in southern Utah, that was apocalyptic. Blinding rains, ice, high wind gusts. I was reduced to driving 20 mph on the 15, and the only reason I stayed on the road was because of the trucker right in front of me. I think some hikers bought the farm in the canyons nearby. Thank goodness for Beaver, UT.

Well done Reed. I have been watching your videos for many years. This is my favorite video you’ve ever made. It is beautiful, unique and informative. The music was perfect. Just as I was starting to wish I could hear the wash as it went by, the music faded and we could hear the flood. I hope to see many more videos of natural events like this in the future. Truly amazing.

Ciao Reed: I lived outside Tuscon at Marana for several years in the 60's...had to commute every day into town for my bank job...summers I never knew if I'd make it back home either late, or not at all...could be sunny and hot in Tuscon, but storming in the hills...usually there was a police officer stopping traffic when the washes were active...saw a yellow Volks with a lady inside get swept away right in front of me...they found the car a few miles downstream...her body much farther down...the power of the water was amazing...loved watching your work on these events...very well done...but please be careful!
