We use dielectric grease on the mating surfaces and the contact pins on our underwater ROVs, and they are multimillion dollar vehicles.

Great stuff! Cool that it has applications in such high end components 🤘🏽

I used to use that stuff but it is messy and dust and dirt stick to it what I found to be far better is silicone spray lube it protects electronics, plastic and metal and repels water I spray it everywhere on my bike except the grips, seat and brakes it keeps the bike looking brand new and is better(imo) and cheaper than maxima sc1

Does it prevent water seeping into the connectors as well and what have you found the durability of the product to be like? Application every muddy ride or less often?

@@emotobros it creates a water resistant sheild water will bead on the silicone layer and not actually touch the metal and it will prevent rust . I spray a small bit on the connections after every wash(stock bike ) I just take battery out and spray through the hole onto the metal connections I use it everywhere on the bike like everywhere it keeps everything lubed and protected and the bike will shine like it's new. I put it on after every few washes it also works well as a one step touch up cleaner just spray a bit on a rag and dirt will come right off leaving a nice shine .

There’s this stuff called Plasti Dip that you can get at hardware stores that’s general use purpose is dipping tool handles to create a grip (grip for hammers, wrenches, etc…). It’s essentially a liquid rubber that dries in a pliable manner. It can also be used as insulator for bare wires/cables, so it’s safe on electronics. I think carefully painting that stuff on would be much more effective at sealing up, and waterproofing your controller/motor connections. I haven’t done this to my Surron yet, but intend to.

I think y’all will like them! I would recommend checking out the local rules though since these bikes are motorcycles most mountain bike trails do not allow them👍🏼
