As a former 1990's twenty something who was every bit into the Grunge music scene, it's sad to see how very few bands of that era still exist. now i know how 80's Glam Rock fans feel. *Gone* *Still active* Nirvana Pearl Jam Screaming Trees Mudhoney Alice In Chains (w/ Staley) Melvins Soundgarden Green River (3 reunion shows) Tad 7 Year Bitch Temple Of The Dog Mad Season
As a grunge fan in the 90s I always look back and wonder how the only big 'grunge' name I've seen is Alice in chains. On the dirt tour and then 2 or 3 years ago without Layne. Hopefully finally seeing this lot next year.
Strangely enough Iggy ignored them and never cared all that much, he just flocked to the critic darlings Nirvana...shame, one of the best bands, if not the best from that scene.
ill never forget the time i saw Mudhoney and this kid got on stage and started fighting with mark arm. they were rolling around on stage. mark beat the crap out of the kid........mean while the band kept playing the song the whole time. rock and roll baby.
Itelkner this was prolly in 1992 or something like that in Boston at the Paradise Rock Club. i went to college with a kid that said he went to see Mudhoney and they had beer bottles on the stage and Mark Arm started hitting them towards the crowd with a hockey stick> i dont know how that happened but......ROCK AND ROLL.
This is the fucking HONEY music I've been looking for a long time. (Not really I've known them for ages and I love them.... so far no one has ever beaten these guys)
So freaking epic, I love Mudhoney...I was lucky (or just lived at the right time) to see them twice, including once at Green River Community College...permanent memories
I've seen Mudhoney 2 times in Washington DC. If I saw a live show on top of the Space Needle, My head would explode and they'd find my body floating in the sound. My favorite band of all time.
Nice. Haha. I saw all the greats in early 90’s. There was a time them and nirvana were about the same fame. That’s when I was all up in it. Really crazy fun.
Just caught them at The Ohana Fest 2019, was the only reason to go. Ya, Eddie and Red Hot Chili Peppers are okay, but not a good enough reason to literally drive completely across LA. Goleta to Dana Point in no small trek. I was able to sit outside of the fence on the beach and soak it up. Worth it.
Seen them in Perth Western Australia about 15 years ago, great show. After the show Mark came up to a table at the side that had lemon water or something on it. Being a fan since the early 90's I full shat my dacks and all I could say was G'day mate and walked away. Big regrets I didn't have the testicular fortitude to say more. Same thing when I seen Kim Scott from Mark of Cain in a kebab shop in Northbridge, all I could do is stare, he stared back and I said g'day and left.
