So many colors and textures in the old ship. Like being in a strange museum. Probably my favorite part. Nice photography.

I've dug the "James Keiller" Marmalades here in 'Iwilei and Kakaako, former swamps along the shore in Honolulu. Last good digs a year ago in Kakaako, found all kind of broken Codds, including three from Los Angeles, a medium sized town in 1893. A lot of stone ink bottles were made in England & Scotland for American inks. I've never seen a brick like that, with the holes. Ones I've seen here in Waianae are marked "Glasgow". Allegedly our Plantation was proud of their stonework. I've dug in some dumps here from 2016. Found five whole Hutchinson sodas, an American type from 1879-c1915. Crowns came out in 1892 and took over eventually. Cheekons? Former involuntary egg farmer here.

This hit every tick box in my body, not only do you salvage long forgotten items, you collect plastic debris from the shoreline, create beautiful footage of the area with funky music, upcycle and present these gems on spinning vinyl.......and just when I think I can't take anymore wonderment, you create a bee home with a brick and wind chimes with clay pipes ...swoon! 😲 ♥️ Smelling salts anyone? x

Hey Si! I started out by watching Nicola on her channel and then found yours! You guys are great - it's like being there with you when you do this. In today's time with all of us being inside because of the Covid 19 virus -it's a real pleasure to be able to get outside" with you guys and be like you're really there walking alongside you, or scrambling up a ladder to avoid the tide which has come in when you were too interested in what you were finding to notice. I am too old now to collect, too disabled to get out to the Southern Californian beaches and inland waters (where often old ghost towns washed away in storms leaving behind all kinds of artifacts if you know where to look -- (and after 50 years of doing it in the past I'm pretty good- lol) - anyway, just wanted to say THANK YOU so much Si and your mudlark friends for giving us a bit of an outing, without leaving our chairs. Good luck in future hunting trips when we all can get out again....

I'm not an artist but I'm sitting here talking to myself about how beautiful the colours are on this ship. Thankyou again Si.

I'm only familiar with mason bees, and they prefer a 1/4" wide hole. So when you have spaces that are too big for them, an easy solution is to wrap plain paper around a standard wooden pencil to make a tube. Slip the tube off of the pencil, add a little bit of tape to keep it together. They you can fill up your larger space with the right size of holes. Preferably in such a way that the paper isn't getting wet. Also, while the bees are active, try to make sure that there is a little bit of mud nearby, as they need it for closing off the holes as they lay eggs.

I've lived in Medway for over 30 years and I regularly pass road signs to Riverside Country Park. However I have never been there, I have never met anyone who has been there, and no-one has ever recommended going there. And seeing the conditions you had to endure down there, I now know why. The final result may have been worth it because the bottles are beautiful. But I have no idea how you managed to get them so clean, and I suspect it was not easy. Antique bottles should have a higher value in the UK than they have, because the work involved from 'start to finished object' is astonishing.

Simon, I adore your bee house and I just love the wind chime you made. I also like the chickens! Hmm... I used to make small portable "junk" barbecues with recycled materials and then spray the bodies of them with high heat engine paint or high heat enamel. Maybe you could make toad houses out of broken pottery? You also might think about making things for pollinators to rest and drink from. Whatever you choose to make, keep doing it; Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repurpose! Stay safe, and stay healthy.
