Thanks Karla!!, yes, but the tire I did not get home …yet. It was so far from my car that I wheel it back a bit each time I go there. Tires do not roll well in the sand and it probably weighs about 80 lbs. It will be well worth it because the rim and tire are brand new and valued at $500!
Just love your videos, so calming with the sounds of the wind and water. Also love the ending with the kids running down the beach. And of course, your interesting finds. Thanks for sharing.
OK, favorite find no doubt jar lid with the tiny bird on it:D You have the distinction of being the. first stateside mudlark that I've seen pull out a marmalade jar...congrats!!! The. clear glass jars which look like Deco are adorable! Two rings and a Mercury dime..you're killing me with this location. If you can't tell, I'm a tiny bit jealous:D
Thanks Kathi, I knew it was something special when it peaked itself out of the mud in perfect shape. I’m grateful for the locations I can visit. Be well.
Hint. When pulling up a piece of fishing line or twine get a short stick, wind a bit of the line around the center and use it like a handle to pull with. Saves your fingers!
WOW! Awesome red marble! I have never seen that deep shade of red glass before. You had some great and older finds this period of treasure hunting. Love the old crock jam jars.
Love the jam jar, wish US had more of them like the UK Mudlarkers find. I think the pedestal bottle is a salt shaker, Art Deco style, would have a tall pointy cap on it. Hope you make something from that table leg, it’s gorgeous.
@@underthesurface4435 You should watch Northern Mudlarks or the Mudpies-- or Kit and Kaboodelers sometime. You'd get a notion about some of the bits and pieces you find. :)
@@eba44 lol, I do watch them , but have a terrible sense of remembering exactly what it is I am recocgnizing. So I leave a lot up to my subscribers in assisting with the relic identification.
What beautiful views of the ocean. The gentle lop of the waves is so soothing. Great finds...love the kitten basket. Nice old marble...another lost marble found.
Your videos are so well edited! I love how you show the cleaned item right after the original find. I always look forward to your videos. You are so lucky to have such interesting areas to search for treasures. Very envious, I admit. Thanks!!!!!
Thanks Sonia, very much appreciated, since I am about as big a rookie as it gets with editing. I am very grateful for my locations, thanks for watching.
Hello from East Tennessee. I’m back in hillbilly heaven. I did have fun in New York but it’s good to be home watching your videos. Great finds this week especially the plate with the food in it. LoL. The jam jar reminds me of the jars they find in the UK. Stay safe and I’ll be watching.
Thanks my friend from Tennessee. Glad you made it back safely and enjoyed the plate of food. My family did not quite feel the same, lol. Correct on the jam jar. Be well my friend.
Another great hunt. Big congratulations for all those wonderful treasures you will be adding to your collection. You surprise me every time with your finds…..
New to this channel. Only watched two so far. I really like how quiet and calm your videos are, and I especially appreciate the cleaned up photos and info on the items (history, what things are, year, and worth). Happy treasure-hunting!
Thanks so much!, I do love to fish also but unfortunately the draw to search for stuff on the beach took over, lol. We collect an enormous amount of good lures from fishermen who need to work on there knots, lol.
Hello 👋 from New York you found some amazing finds my favorite finds definitely was the jam pot and the plate at the end Thank You for bringing me along with you I can't wait to see what you find next 😀 😊
Another great video! My favourite part of weekend is watching you finding treasures. It’s interesting how much you loved the big stone jam jar-they are so commonplace over here that bottle diggers toss them aside. I love them! they used to be in many kitchens as they were mostly used to store the ‘dripping’, the fat collected from cooking meat, eaten on bread with salt and pepper. Also used in kitchens to store utensils like tin openers, spatulas etc. the lovely turquoise glass shard you found would look beautiful on a Christmas Tree as a decoration…especially if a light twinkles through it. The basket of kittens is adorable, but I think one of the kittens is missing the top of her head. I’m sure you could repair it with some air dry clay. And those bottles; aw so pretty! And all those lures!! I’m baffled at why so many lures get lost in that area. I don’t thing my lifelong fisherman Father ever found that many. Hope you get the tyre home before someone else snaffles it! Looks expensive. Can’t wait for next Sunday. Good luck!
You hit everything right on the mark!!, the jar was my favorite!!, now it’s a centerpiece with some holidays greens in it, the blue glass will now make its way on the tree, great idea!!!. The tire is on its way . Thanks so much for watching and some great commentary. Be well my friend.
Happy Saturday Morning Matt! The bird lid definitely the top to a teapot. The bird would whistle. Lol I’m betting you get that tire home soon. The marble stunning color. From other videos I watch , I believe they call the red ox blood. All your finds are amazing. The wooden piece looks like a leg piece of a wicker furniture chair. Check you later, Joyce. ❤️🇺🇸
That little brown jar with the broken base is perfect for a tea light candle, LED or fairy lights. Simply even off the base. Sweet birdie lid. Looks to be a 1930s padlock, by the lettering style. There's a good resale value on many lures, old or new. When you show the clean up screen shot, at 15:20 is that lure made of bone or plastic? Oh my, that kitty Cat basket! Someone Enjoyed many things I do. Thanks to you, they now have a new life. The blue handle is for a jump rope? Soaking that buckle in some vinegar and the cheapest molasses, will put it back in use. Is that a Pipe Bowl at 9:52? It's directly behind your hand, near that purdy marble. So glad you showed that plate all cleaned up with food being served on it. So many people think they are unsanitary, but it's quite safe with a bit of boiling hot water and a good cleaning. Hoodie with your logo on it is Boss! I guess the latest word they would use is Fire, but I'm giving a revival to some older lingo. : )
Incredibly enjoyment reading your comments! Lots of great info…..lure was plastic, love the vinegar use, it could be a pipe bowl…thanks for watching!!!
That stoneware white container is Victorian in age and is very common find and very sought after to purchase . they were used for jam and fruit. and there typical find in mudlarkers in the UK. which is Brittan. look at the UK mudlarkers videos and there are so many different stoneware containers. all of them I want to collect. they are more uncommon than old bottles by far. people dont find them here in the US.
What a great week of finds! My favorite is the old teapot lid with the singing bird , such a sweet find! That wine bottle was my next favorite , a different kind of bottle. The little bottle with the chipped base was most likely a salt or pepper shaker :) All in a blessed week of treasures.
Sweet finds Matt.....I sometimes pick up old corks and metal screw tops off more modern bottles and fit them on the older screw top-bottles...that way I can reuse them to hold things I find like old pins, beads and marbles etc...very handy...cheers
I think the pedestal glass was a shrimp cocktail glass. I remember they would be sold with tiny shrimp in cocktail sauce at the grocery store. Fun video!
I remember as kid in the 1950's my mother had milk delivered to house in quart bottles they were sealed wit h aluminium wrapped around the top of the bottles. They were left in a "a milk box".
The white/cream-coloured pot is a jam or marmalade pot. I loke thr bird teapot lid, the very first piece of turquoise glass, the marble. Delicious finds.
W.P. Hartley was Sir William Pickles Hartley (23 February 1846 - 25 October 1922), jam manufacturer and philanthropist, founded the Hartley's jam company.
You could prob make groceries for the week with all the lures you find.. I would trade them to the fisherman for fresh fish!! haha worth a try. :) viva puerto rico!!
Great question!!, was wondering were the car people were asking about the tire. Tell him it was a mile from my car. Each time I go back I move it a bit closer to my car then hide it til I eventually get it home. It’s a valuable rim and tire(ca. $500).
Oh man did it come out blasting, still not sure on the volume transfers because in preposting review the volume was ok, my apologies, lol. Tire is getting closer and closer.
Thanks Janet, although they are very popular in England, not so popular here in the states, I was very pleased to find this piece. Thanks for watching.
@@underthesurface4435 Oh ok I like how the water pulls away with a metal detector you can find alot of stuff I sure wish California beaches did the same thing. Thanks for the reply
@@underthesurface4435 I sure hope I get to visit that area sometime. And no problem thank u for uploading and sharing ur adventures. Best of luck to u.
