I thought it was very horrible. By mudvayne standards anyway. Poor tempo, Chad lost his voice, no volume on drums, pretty horrible. I've seen them do much better
jason Christ coolest thing about this song is they felt Lost and Found was their most Mudvayne album yet but was missing something...and “Fall into Sleep” was the result of them going back into the studio and “rubbing the magic lantern” so to speak.
His voice sounds very strained, but yet still very impressive considering by this point he had blew his voice out screaming as hard and loud as he possibly could at every single concert
A lesson to all people who want a "career" in something real af... They'd only been around 8 years at this point. Take care of your vocal chords and throat if you want to sing like this for more than 2 years. For a shitload more free advice from someone who knows, just reply here... 🤫✊🔥💓🖐️
@@somewhatsomething4882 the problem is that he never learned either how to scream without pain or likely didn't even know you could scream without it burning. What chad is doing isn't fry or false chord or anything safe, its literally just a man tearing his voice apart which seemed to be the thing at the time for vocalists to do, try to just listen to coal chamber without getting a sore voice.
@@TheLowest as of right now, Chad is working with Melissa Cross. And he has been taking vocal coaching for a good while now. I saw him with Hellyeah in 2017, and he sounded very good. Didn't sound half as strained as he did with Mudvayne at the time of this video. Independently from all of that, I just hope the dude's vocal system is healthy and good to go for a few more years
for all the comments that said chad didn't perform to his standards and stuffs...i did like to tell you that because as a vocalist, especially metal, sometimes after years and years of playing and stressing there will be at one point where the vocal starts to fail you...but through long enough time, the voice will eventually get back to its peak...thank you
When people ask Chad why Mudvayne isn't a thing anymore.. watch this. Super fucking hard songs to sing live and everyone wanting him to scream the whole time.
Mudvayne us one of my favorite bands and this is one of their best songs. The tempo here seems slower than the recorded track, that being said, still a great performance. I saw them open for Korn in 2005 Lewiston, Maine.
Ryan Martine is my god....I'm learning from a amazing guy name Ryan (obviously not the same guy) but he is teaching me good shit so one day...I can play the way Mr. Martine does!!!! FALL INTO SLEEP.
it symbolizes the connection between good and evil. the one with "barbed wire" is actually a crown of thorns, meaning the good. the one with the horns is the evil.
11 years kinda late. But, have you not seen George of Cannibal Corpse? Been doing it for over 20 years, sounds as good as ever. It totally depends on the vocalist. Like Corey Taylor ruining his voice too.
In responc to NK sippai i was there. It was ridiculously hot that day. It would have taken toll on his voice. Although alot of the songs where played much slower. Possibly also to the heat - or maybe they where trying something. Altogether a great show. |W|E| miss them \m/.
My guess is that a lot of the problem with this show was the sound system. If you not at the beginning hes holding his ear trying to hear the monitor in there. If he can't hear it then its all guessing
no mams...tas mongolisimo...soi el amo y señor de mudayne....tengo todo de ellos...no mams...soi , y sere el eterno amo y señor de MuDvAyNe...! verguisima cuando vinieron al DF....palabras mayores! con el exito not fallin!
@edmundtavhokim..You said it bro yell all day everyday and wonder why you lose your voicce. Singing is actually one of the most stressful things we can do to our bodies as far as vocal chords are concerned and Mudvayne's style would destroy anyones voice after a long enough time. Still a great band, still a unique sound and studio albums are amazing so there really isnt any room to argue, by the way Disturbed is the same way GREAT in studio but Live Daves voice suffers
Have you listened to the sound of silence by disturbed live . It sounds just the same as the studio version. This guy however definitely has ruined his voice
i quess its nto barbed wire. i suppose its that jesus crhist's crown what it was in english lol :D my quess the whole thing is symbolising devil and the god/good and bad/christ and lucifer or somethign... Like they becoming the same spine meaning like its 2 same things or something... hard to explain u gotta like feel the meaning urself troughout the songs so u can understand this XD
Everyone saying "he lost his voice" blah blah. Meanwhile you can watch footage from 2009 and hear his voice is still as perfect as it was then. Great example on how false info spreads like plagues on the web. Don't believe everything you read on the internet, kids.
@edmundtayhokim ehh that may be ur experience but otherwise bs, no offense. Just he simply probly done 3 shows that week and it doesn't matter what technique u use to sing that stuff it is still highly streesfull on his vocals. He was just wore out that day. He has since changed his style a bit giving him some more styling diversity to break up the stresses on his vocals while on stage. A better example of what ur talking about would be Disturbed's singer.
Gnostic279 doesn't matter what technique you're using to sing, I once went on a core tour, and even though we weren't doing hard/intense vocals (actually I kinda was, because I'm a bass so I pushed really hard to be heard, I've changed my technique since then), I still messed my throat up and could barely sing/talk by the end
Man, Chad blew his voice out at an early time in his career........... pretty sad considering what he could be doing these days........ Nevertheless an AMAZING vocalist!!
it sucks that everything changed....next thing you know marilyn manson won't rock and dress the same...i seen a mudvayne video were the singer looked fucked but was fucking awesome.....
Mudvayne are awesome on CD but pretty shocking live. Chad misses every second word he should be singing, or cuts them off too quickly, if I hadn't heard their albums and saw them live I would walk away with the intention of never listening to Mudvayne again.
This is miserable to watch him strain his voice so much. As a singer, it's just painful. It stresses your entire body. He needs to start tuning down the instruments and singing in a more comfortable range. Otherwise, they'll keep having shitty performances like this that aren't enjoyable to watch because it's so forced.
