Agreed. Ideas for next budget bike battle: 1. Pick bikes from a category you *don't* like (cheap adventure bikes, hacked cafe racers, choppers) 2. Pick the most ridiculous or ugliest bikes possible for each other. 3. Combine 1 & 2

When these bikes were new I'd have taken the MV every time, even though I never hated the way 999's looked. I can't believe how well that Ducati design has aged, it looks drop dead sexy now! That said, the MV is clearly the winner of this shootout for now. Speed isn't everything but it is when it comes to superbikes - even Ducati had to go 4cyl to remain competitive.

I totally agree, when the 999 came out I thought it was ugly but now I've grown to like it lol. Same as I used to hate the rear end of the old 2 stroke bikes in the 80s and 90s and now I love the way the fatty rear ends look lol.

As a Romanian that's following this channel, the guy that you met was right, there are two roads in Romania that are heaven for bikers, even better than the black forest roads, they are called Transalpina and Transfagarasan. You should definitely go there at a certain point, it's heaven on earth!

I've always loved the F4, it's a beautiful bike and after watching this series it's obviously faster. That wouldn't stop me getting a 999 though, I always loved its looks and sound.

Super episode and great riding by you both! I was super surprised to see the MV pull the Duck like it did but it pulled many bikes on the track. Well done Chris! Like many have suggested, I think you all should swap at some point, at least for a lap of two, to be able to better argue points.....but in all, wonderful video and hoping the best for a show for you guys. We all know it would be a hit! Cheers!

Love this competition between them. It was always a foregone conclusion in my mind..... I'm lucky enough to own one of each of these machines so I've been avidly following these boys on the trip. I was always backing the MV as I know how good it is on track (Almeria anyway) Great and very entertaining work boys. Thanks for adding value to my MV too! :-)

Have to say I'm impressed to see this kind of riding out of the S21s. I just put a set on my K6 GSXR 750 for a track day this weekend. I am nowhere near as fast as the two of you, but this will definitely boost my confidence with them. Y'all were definitely pushing them hard.

Well I wasn't sure about the f4 from the start but after the race and all the videos I'm an f4 fan now. I'm still a believer that around 10 to 15 year's ago was the collimation of race bikes that we're turned to road legal bikes and nothing after comes close on the track. Keep the good vids you two fine gent's. Ps: the fine on the van was taking the pïss. Unreal

The red lawn mower is better at one thing and its quite a big thing and very useful... it makes a brilliant camera bike to show how much quicker that MV is.
