Muhle R41 - Asco Super Stainless - Maca Root Shaving Cream 

Happy Sunday Paul! I just returned from a trip to Boston, Massachusetts, and came to watch you shave. Muhle R41 is a super efficient design. I get the best results with a Treet carbon blade or a Crystal stainless. The R41 must be tamed or the blood will flow! I saw that flower bend over and fall, but it could be the energy in your bathroom. I have a few slick shaving soaps. The best in my den slickness wise is made by Stirling, but I have other that are good as well. Concur with your statement about better shaves with a few days growth...my face certainly feels smooth and softer. Oh, I will come around for dinner in about 11 months time...not sure I will need a driver...so kind to offer...lol. A little bit of tug isn't much of a bother for me, but when it just stops in the middle of the whiskers during the pass...ouch! I think you have inspired me to get a fresh shave. I did pick up a new brush myself whilst on my trip; a PAA Atomic Rocket synthetic brush. I should really try it out. A close and comfortable looking shave there Paul. Great shave there Paul. Nice to see the R41 do it's job without war paint on the face. Takes a skilled hand to achieve that. I haven't used any of the Asco blades, need to give them a go. The Maca Root cream surely helped with the shave. Floid is always a pleasure, makes the skin feel great post shave. Wonderful arrangement of flowers from Mrs H, thanks. There is a scientific reason the flower fell...I just can't think of it at the moment 😜 3 new brushes!?, nice. Super video and banter. Enjoy!

Supernatural shave

This is usually the soap I am going for when shaving with the Muhle R41. I never use the Muhle 2 days in a row, and I prefer using it on a 2 or 3 days growth. The Maca root soap is helping a lot with this razor. Associated to the Maca Root Razor Relief from the same brand, I always get a beautiful close shave and after shave. Nice video again Paul. Keep going. You are a very friendly youtuber.

+1 for the Body Shop maca root. It’s one of my daily creams and it’s probably my favorite of all time. Slick and takes very little to lather a ton of suds!

They don't sell this shaving cream any more. More specifically, they reinvented it. Now it's called "MACA ROOT & ALOE Softening Shaving Cream". My guess is that it didn't lose its excellent working properties. The scent however went through a big improvement.

Wanted to let you know that I have the exact same brush, it’s one of my favourites. I live in Arkansas in the states. I’m in my mid 60’s and when I was a young teen started Shaving with double edged razor. Started back with it a year ago and love it. I look forward every week to view your videos, flowers and all!!!

Excellent shave Paul! The Macca Root cream is one of my “go to” soaps because of the slickness , especially since I need to shave daily for work. I’m amazed at how easily you handle that Muhle razor. I’ve been tempted to buy it but it’s still way to scary! Your descriptions of Sunday dinners sure sounds great. Nice shave Paul. Love my R41, I get the best shaves of all from it. I tried a Feather blade in it last week. Went surprisingly well, and no blood spilt. Definitely a combination I will try again.

Nice shave! One pass from that thing would probably be all I could do, but I rarely get terribly smooth anywhere but the cheeks when I shave my entire face. I like watching aggressive razors take down heavier growth with various blades. It’s oddly gratifying to see (and also informative).

If you can, try out the Gentlemens Tonic babassu & bergamot shaving cream. It’s a bit more expensive but lasts long. It’s very creamy, slick and a very nice post-shave moisturizing feel. The scent is a bit honeylike sweet. I’ve heard that most people, also with very sensitive skin like this soaps. Also great for women despite the name ;)

We used to call those " croaps" lol also which version of the R41 are you using because I know the 2011 version ( I believe ) was the most aggressive one after that one they tamed it down quite a bit . Great shave as always Paul

We, also had a bad weather. Damp and strong wind. There are natural ingredients that cause allergy in humans. Lanolin for example. I noticed, that the aromatic alcohol Farnesol causes me a slight suffocation.) So if I see it in the ingredients, I do not buy it. But it disinfects well and removes mold.
