Hi folks, first of all Seasons Greetings! Also sorry for coughing and spluttering all over you 😷😷
Pricing! Sorry that I forgot to mention this in the video, the kit for my bike would be £439. Now yes, that is a lot of money but on the other hand the Denali Cansmart and Denali lighting gear that I did buy myself cost over £600, so it comes down to what sort of auxiliary/multi-function lighting you would prefer for your bike.
I have been sent a set of front and rear multi-function indicators from Weiser Technik and I hope to have them fitted soon... my covid brain forgot to think about the install possibly being delayed due to an incorrect indicator being supplied... then again I could still get the other three fitted and loose-fit the other one for testing couldn't I 😊
Here are links below to Weiser Technik and also to the two relevant videos from Carl's You Tube channel, Just The Way It Is

Sorry to hear your not feeling great Rikky and I hope that you get over the worst of it before Christmas. I'm glad to see you have already got a replacement indicator on it's way and I'm looking forward to seeing what these look like on you R1250R. Have fun with your installation 👍Carl

Hi Carl, I'm feeling better, seems to be mostly past the main symptoms now 😊 The new blinker has turned up today! Lokking forward to getting them on - at least I won't have to remove as much bodywork as you GS boys! 😁😁

Glad to hear your feeling better Rikky. I'm currently doing the final editing of steps 6 & 7 for the North American market, (which just happens to be the same for your R1250R) which you will need for your rear indicators. I hope to get the episode up just after Christmas ... so that section might be some help to you 👍. Best wishes Carl

What a crapper Rikky hope you get through this quickly but some over indulgence should help with that journey with a bit of luck 😉,Will be interesting to see how you get on with these and will take a look at Carl's vlog on the fitting I assume he says how much this kit is at some point too , it will be interesting to see what the response is like from this company when you put your query to them also the time it takes for it to be resolved . take care and enjoy as best you can the big day 👍

Ah yes sorry Mal, I've updated the description with the pricing now... £439 for the kit that fits my bike. Not cheap but also not as costly as the Denali Cansmart/lighting gear I bought for my bike previously. In another video I'll talk about my justification for agreeing to having these sent to me... honestly if I didn't think I had a useful reason to fit them (on top of the Denali kit I already have), I wouldn't have agreed to it, even at the low low price of free! 😂 Cheers and I hope to be back on the mend soon!

Get well soon Rikky. I have the Cyclops version of those. They also double as running lights in front and brake lights in back and I highly recommend having that functionality. I got the Cyclops a year or more ago without being able to compare. Because of Carl's video, I decided to try the Weisers more recently. To summarize, I decided I didn't want to do the additional install work the Weiser's required over the Cyclops I already have. However, if I had the opportunity to compare both before installing, I think the Weisers would have won and would have been no more work to install from scratch. Personally, I'd also install with a Hex ezCan. It gives you some extra functionality and makes the wiring easier.

Thanks for your comments Paul, that's all really interesting to know. I've got to admit that while I do have a Cansmart on my bike, I'm not sure what extra functionality that might give these Extreme Evo lights over installing them on a staock bike. I have some research to do! And I am feeling better already thanks again 😊

Yes Paul your 100% right, the installation is a little easier if you have a hexcan, Carl

@@RikkyTang The ezcan/cansmart gives you two things. One is it lets you control the brake functionality a bit more, specifically it adds flashing a few times when you first hit the brakes. Second is it will flash the DRLs in front if you hit the horn. I like the brake flashing. The front flashing is pretty minor. Also, as Carl mentioned, I thought it made the wiring a bit easier. There's no need to use wiretaps on existing stock wiring. Just wire the new wires right to the cansmart

@@paulv22 Thanks Paul, that's very interesting, I will go back to Weiser Technik and see if they have some install tips when the cansmart is involved. Thanks again for your info and experiences.

@@RikkyTang You're very welcome. I'm pretty sure Weiser has info on using the Cansmart, but I think it would go something like this. For the fronts, there are 3 terminals. Two go to the original turn signal wires. The 3rd is for the DRL and that would go back to one circuit on the Cansmart. For the rears, you have 4 terminals. 2 for the original signal wires, one is for the brake lights and one is constant 12V. The brake light terminal would have to be wired back to the Cansmart. That last one is what made me decide against installing them. I just didn't feel like taking the bike apart to run that last wire. On the fronts, I may get some Denali lights and use those for daytime running lights.

Hope you're better soon Ricky - weiser is pronounced more like Visor though, I'm assuming you knew that and its the Covid affecting your speech😁

Thanks Huw, shame we can't re-edit videos to add corrections after they are published! I'll get the pronunciation right next time 😊
