Thank you so much for this. I know a lot of people are here for the FW portion, but I just picked up casted MW and am loving it. Had a few questions, but this answered them all, I think. Appreciate it.
Meep thank you for taking the time to make this video and teach us how to properly play mistweaver especially after you let me borrow your Ferrari while you saved my dying grandmas cat from a burning building filled with notsee zombies 🙏🙏❤️❤️ much love
SUPER HELPFUL!!! As someone who understands FW as coming from DPS, I had no clue for Casterweaver so thank you! Particularly as someone who mains 2s ranked, this will help a ton vs caster matches. Also, just for fun, it is en-VEL-oping mist but nonetheless, appreciate the guide! Should upload some replays and matches too as I am sure you could get the views!
Thanks for posting this, quick thing tho the word is Enveloping like Envelop (ev-VEL-up - to surround) not Envelope (EN-vel-ope - what you put a letter in), so it's pronounced en-VEL-up-ing mists. So so minor but just tweaked my ear lol
Hopefully this doesn’t get lost since video is a few weeks old but for FW I didn’t notice if you touched on the build other people use with using disable or Jade statue. Any reason you don’t run those or do you ever? From what I gathered statue gives coalescence gives you bigger cocoons and is pretty massive? How about choice talents vs specific comps like swapping diffuse magic for yulon? I find myself wondering if taking diffuse is worth it even if the healer is the only magic user and I guess I question what specs or classes constitute magic or if there’s a difference at all say with a Druid using nature or DH using chaos if those count
I dont ever use disable as a fistweaver simply because I've never had to have a global where I need to slow enemies. I dont play the Jade Statue build as I find it difficult to get the globals off in the opener as well as getting a few soothing mists in. I personally just think it makes the spec simpler and you also don't really need these abilities. For Diffuse Magic vs Yulon's Grace, Yulon's Grace is a magic shield so it will have the same effect as Diffuse Magic. Diffuse magic has some abilities that you can diffuse in melee situations, like for example one of the hunter's roots can be reversible with diffuse magic (forget the name of the root). I personally am just accustomed to Diffuse Magic and I see no benefit from playing Yu'lon's Grace. I think diffuse magic is better in every scenario. Most Demon Hunter damage is magical as a little fyi but id still reccomend playing diffuse magic every game.
Hi meep, thanks for the guide. Right now I'm leveling a monk and I want to use fistweaver, but I have doubts about it. I understood everything in your guide, but while I'm leveling, I've learned spells that I don't see you use in the guide. Specifically these: - Vivify - Essence font. - Zen Pulse. - Chi wave. - Cracking jade lightning. - Spinning Crane Kick. Could you please tell me which of these spells I can remove from my action bar, and which one is used in fistweaver? The button bloat is massive during my leveling, and I would be really grateful if I can remove some spells.
Spinning Crane Kick should be used to AoE rogues mages druids out of stealth, should be used very rarely. Crackling Jade Lightning can be used to apply Mystic's Touch and Combat from a Distance. never use this for damage or healing ever only for getting combat or applying Mystic's Touch. Chi Wave, Zen Pulse, Essence Font, and Vivify shouldn't be used at all.
isn't 2 tiger palms before a blackout kick better than alternating? In my example, if you do 6 total casts then you get 4 tiger palms and 10 kicks of the blackout kick whereas with alternating for 6 casts you would get 3 tiger palms and 9 kicks of the blackout kick
Awesome guide, thank you! What binds do you use to target teammates, and what do you use to target enemies? Do you tab target ever? Do you use an MMO mouse or mouse buttons for anything? Thanks again.
For targeting teammates I use scroll wheel. Scroll wheel up targets the uppermost party member on the frames, scroll wheel down targets the downmost party member on the frames, and clicking the scroll wheel targets myself. For targeting enemies, I use tab targeting and the addon RETabinder, which allows me to only target enemy players when i tab target. I think there's also a way to do this in wow settings but I use that addon for enemy targeting. Hope this helped!
How do you use scroll wheel down to target downmost party? I have scroll up target friend 1 and down target friend 2 and it sometimes gets switched in arena
@@YM-qh4foHe targets himself by clicking the scroll wheel. You have to use an addon like framesort to arrange party frames. Or, I’ve read that some people use a script too.
better to lightning for mystics touch + u dont have to have get extra bind because lightning doesnt have cd does more dam (i think doesnt matter anyways) and also applies mystics touch
Love the overall lookthrough! BUT😅 take this as a positive feedback. The only thing that would propably make me not click your other videos is the amount of "uum"´s said. Its just unbearable for listeners from my pov. Otherwise, ur ability to explain stuff is perfect 😉
