Lu Bu was praised in the novel (and historically) as the greatest warrior to have ever walked on Earth during his time. In fact, his skills in battle was so great that there came an old saying, "Lu Bu among people, Red Hare among horses" (this phrase is used to praise someone that they are the best in what they do). Besides his skill in Fengshen Huaji, which was the known to be a very hard and clumsy weapon to master, he excelled in Archery, Horse riding, and military training.
They seem to be equal in the fight, but if u look at Xiang Yu's face that his expression was really tensed while lubu seems calm and easily dodged Xiang Yu's attacks. That looks like Xiang Yu must tried really hard to contend lubu. Lubu still seems better than Xiang Yu.
Daniel Chacon Yeah, you're right. In any case, I think a normal polearm of any kind fits him better than the weapon he has in Strikeforce. It was a good decision of the developers to give it to Lu Lingqi instead so he could wield his halberd.
Completely Agree Lu Bu's Fangtian Huaji "Sky Piercer" is Legendary Plus the Halberd is an actual effective weapon and the 4-pronged boomerang thingy is cool but not actually practical. Though being able to throw it and have it magically return is definitely something and Lu Bu almost had 'im there with that one lol
This dude was just shown to be on the same level of power and skill as Lu Bu, theres no way she could handle them. Unless you just mean the foot soldiers, obviously any character with a face and name can handle the unnamed generic face mob, but the problem was the other dude.
A warlord who opposes Liu Bang (Liu Bei's ancestor). You can say that he's the Lu Bu of the Warring State era. Off topic, Japan also has their own pre-Sengoku Tadakatsus as well.
I noticed that in Orochi, Lu Bu was compared to the legendary Tadakatsu Honda of Japan, and here Lu Bu is compared to Xiang Ji, only significant other in china who had his might. So no matter how much people say Tadakatsu or Xiang is better, this is proof people still admire Lu Bu the most. lol
@GunzBlazic i think he was trying to say that Xiang Yu would lose because he had to put in more energy just to hold off lu bu while lu bu wasnt even trying.
During the Trojan War, Achilles' presence in battle alone was a force to be reckoned with. said to have been born to one of the many goddesses in Greek Mythology, he was blessed by his mother to be invincible in battle (except his ankle and his foot). He met his end when several arrows were shot by Paris in the back of his heels (we now call this body part the Achilles' heel).
Achilles is Koei Warrior Orochi... I see his scene fighting Ginchiyo and Yoshihiro but these Sengoku bravest warrior is nearly lose and get helped by another world prince hero.
And his opponent is the Hegemon King, Xiang Yu. Dude is literally the other contender with Liu Bang(Founder of Han Dynasty) after Qin Dynasty was overthrown by them. He is also known as the greatest warrior in Chinese history vs Lubu greatest warrior in three kingdom period. Dude is basically Lubu but with brain as well as brawn.
Guan Yu was once praised by the people to have had the strength to equal ten thousand soldiers. this is obviously an exaggeration, but if Guan Yu's skill was enough to impress others enough to say this, how impressive would Lu Bu's strength would have been? I'm not saying Guan Yu is weak (he is my all-time favorite figure in the Three Dynasties), but his skill could not match that of Lu Bu, for sure.
He was great not only because of his skillful in fighting but because he was also a great leader and his great achievement to overthrow the Qin Dynasty which make him become the greatest. If we just talk about fighting so Lubu should be more fearsome than Xiang Yu because he was might enough to fight Liu Bei's brothers and beats many great warriors while Xiang Yu didn't fight any famous warrior. LuBu just got captured when he was sleeping.
Bruh they're not even close. Almost all of LuBu's stories are fiction. He had never fought against the Liu Bei brothers, even counting Lu Bu's fiction, it would still be difficult to win against Xiang Yu IRL. They are clearly on too different levels of history to the point where I don't understand how they could compare the two?
@phamdinhquang It takes more than just leadership to be able to control 30,000 troops and defeat 200,000 elite troops. "Xiang Yu is one of the 32 historical figures who appear as special characters in the video game Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI by Koei. Xiang Yu is named as the most powerful fighter in Chinese history whereas Lü Bu is the most powerful warrior only in the Three Kingdoms era. He is also featured as a non-playable character (NPC) in the action-RPG Prince of Qin", that was Koei
Where did you get that statement from. Named as the most powerful warrior in Chinese history? Perhaps homage. Lu Bu was feared during his time. Xiang Yu had power since birth, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just paid homage.
actually im kinda surprise. i thought the Lubu re appearing would have ended the whole Shi huangdi's reign lol. i guess Lubu was holding back kicking his sorry ass? XD
Xiang Yu by far. Lu Bu is the greatest in three kingdom while Xiang Yu is generally regarded as the greatest in Chinese history. Aside from that Xiang Yu weapon of choice the Ji are also significantly heavier than Guan Yu crescent blade.
@GunzBlazic I dont think they will decide who win in the game to keep the reputation of our warriors. But anyway, I still thank you for the discussion.
If u say Xiang Yu is the greatest warrior because his small army defeated a strong army, that's be nonsense because that's the strength of the union. He didnt proved that he is a better warrior than the orther by defeated them 1 on 1. Xiang Yu knew as a great millitary leader, not a great warrior. But Lubu was well known as a greatest warriors in the land, DongZhou must afraid of him by his might in battle even he had a huge army. Lubu also comparison to Achilles who they said had a metal body.
This look awesome, I hope they will release this is US because I hear Warriors Orochi Z got canceled I don't know why but I hope Strikeforce 2 will be release in US because if it not I will be extremely disappointed.
lubu is epic awesome! and also xiang yu looks like lubu like rly alot same red armour and same uses 2 parts weapon and almost same skill(no1 can beat da lubu!!)o ya also has a (not so hot in xiang yus case) chix
@paulerate Ditto. I'm hoping the new non 3K characters in Multi Raid 2 (Shi Huangdi, Xiang Yu, Yu Meiren, Huang Quan, Xi Wangmu and Mu Wang) would play a part in the next Orochi. Can you imagine Orochi and Shi Huangdi working together? The DW/SW cast is screwed.
@phamdinhquang No I'm contradicting your point where you said Xiang Yu never defeated any great warriors. The great warrior was Zhang Han where he lost to Xiang Yu at the battle of Julu. Even Han Xin who basically took over the entire half side of China while Liu Bang was dealing with Xiang Yu said that there was no one better than him. Xiang Yu won every battle but the last because he was betrayed. Even Koei quoted that Xiang Yu was the greatest warrior in the history of China.
I know thats Xiang Yu 项羽 the great lord that fought Liu Bang 刘邦, just saying that the weapon choice reminds me of Musashi, if only they included Strikeforce characters in the newer Orochi games, that'd be damn cool though
