In this video I am showing you how to tie a Multi Rig for carp fishing. This rig works so well in catching the largest fish in the area you are fishing. The best part of this rig also is if you dull a hook you can easily change it out without retying the whole rig and you can change your bait very easy as well.

Just an update for anyone going to try this rig. DO NOT add on a pva mesh stick or bag to the hook for extra goodies. It will kick back and mess up the D on the rig and make it useless. After watching the underwater video I made I finally figured out what was going on.

I found when I added a small pva bag onto the hook for free offerings it was pushing the ring and pop up back making the rig useless. Thanks for watching!

@walkaz 4 года назад
Brian Wingard you can use a mesh stick, you just need to put a pva nugget in the loop under the hook eye this stops the d from moving

Top tip, the two rings of plastic on the spool (brown in this video) are meant to stop the line coming off. Just place the line in between them and you will never have to take them off again. Hope this helps.

Your videos have great content and I’m really happy to see another American who fishes English style. But please stop saying “all I’m gonna do” over and over again. I can only watch so much in one sitting and I like what you are putting out.

Feed bait floss through the eye of the hook first, then use it to pull your hooklink through the eye. Easy....Good video
@BrianWingard
@BrianWingard 5 лет назад
Also as long as you use the same mm pop up you can keep using that same tied floss as it will hold tight every time.

Hi Brian. great video. Question : - why the overhand knot and not the figure of 8 knot. I am interested in how well that knot hold under pressure ?
@BrianWingard
@BrianWingard 8 лет назад
That is just my usual knot I use. I have yet to have any issues at all with it over 30+ years of fishing. I know a lot of anglers prefer the figure of 8.

Yes you can use the most basic hair rig and still catch nice fish. The more detail you put into your rigs though, the better fish you will catch. Keep watching Brian's videos, he has tons of great info and ideas on the channel.

Yeah once you sort it out it may only take a Min or two to make. Cheers Brian well tacked :P

hey Brian if use just braid for my whole hooklink without the coating.do u think the rig will still work.

It should still work, you just have to be a bit more careful of tangles. That is one of the reasons for the coated braid as it kicks away from the lead some. It should work though with normal braid though

You can call me whatever you like and it does not bother me. The whole point of my channel is to teach any angler especially new ones how to fish for carp. It does not have to be English as you suggest as I am seen in 180+ countries. Especially in a country like mine where carp are not sought after if I can help someone to get into the sport and enjoy carp fishing that is my goal.

Brian Wingard no problem! I think it’s because I watched a documentary awhile ago about carp being pests in America is this true??
@BrianWingard
@BrianWingard 6 лет назад
There is a lot of misinformation that gets spread around and most people instead of looking it up they just think whoever tells them carp are bad know what they are talking about. In times things will certainly change.
@ExeterRipper
@ExeterRipper 6 лет назад
Brian Wingard it’s great to see America’s embracing carp angling like us brits but unfortunately over here in the uk we are flooded with Eastern Europeans who see them as food!!!😡 I recently when carp fishing for the day with a Romanian colleague and before we went I told him it’s sport only catch and release. He assured me he understood but he caught first put it in a bag and went straight home!!! Needless to say I was livid.
@jamesaritchie1
@jamesaritchie1 5 лет назад
I know such setups are all the rage in Europe, but they're the most asinie, ridiculous, complicated nonsense I've ever seen in fifty-five years of fishing for carp. It's not only cartoonishly silly, it's as inefficient as you can get.

tip: dont cut the tag off the overhand knot... put your split shot on there and you wont risk pinching and damaging your mainline..
