Any plans on increasing the grazing area and taking over some ground from the rented acerage? We have a similar situation, rotate on 9 acres and rent out 31 to a farmer, but im looking forward to taking some of it over for more grazing. I just love it so much. Enjoy your Sunday!

Always glad to see new videos! Is there any type of climbing beans that like chicken leftovers in the soil too? It seems like they would do good climbing up the Sweet drop Sorghum. Amazed by how well the cover crops are doing after the Amaranth.

I would think there would absolutely be a pole bean that would work. One thing we had great success with climbing the growing sorghum stalks was the sour gherkins - great little snack the whole family enjoyed while waiting on the sorghum to mature last year!

I've heard a lot about increasing pasture plant diversity through the application from the johnson su bioreactor....

Oh, just wanting to train him to pull a cart…like a cart on wheels. Doing some draft animal work with him, that’s all. Something we’ve always dreamed about but never made the time for.

Have you heard of any issues with Blue Tongue with the multi species grazing?

@@birchfieldfarming I’m in Washington State. I’ve heard of it being an issue on the boarder of CA/OR. Are there any precautions you’d recommend when multi species grazing? We have St. Croix and Angus.

@@stephenclevenger9015Getting the mineral right has been a big issue for us. In addition, be sure your sheep are getting enough to eat during hay season if haying both species together. Cattle are bullies.

Are you doing this for your family? or trying to make a living on it? All so, how many pounds of meat do you get off your sheep? 🐑

We run a business AND feed our family off this land. Never harvested a sheep for meat, as every animal has sold for highest quality, grass-fed breeding stock.
