Clea said there is an incursion. My guess is that they won't be able to stop it so they'll merge 616 with a universe that has F4, X-men and Inhumans. We will get X-men and F4 films before Doctor Strange 3 in that opposite universe.

I agree. I think the Incursion IS the X-Men and the other teams "invading" 616 because of what Scarlet Witch did. That's what they do, right? ... AVENGE. So I think that's how we'll get X-Men and Fantastic Four.

I just want the XMen. I know there's a huge portion of MCU fans that grew up with the 90's series, and part of the reason we're comic fans in the first place. Hearing that theme almost brought a tear to my eye.

Me too , the biggest highlight in the whole movie for me was Xavier coming out in the yellow chair to that theme song. Next thing we need to see is wolverine in his proper costume. I hope they cast someone who's not to proud to have his face covered. Wolverine ain't no pretty boy.

I feel like the Incursion that was caused is the X-Men universe colliding with 616. It’s possible that Doctor Strange or even Wanda prevents one of them having to be destroyed, by merging the two universes instead. Or the incursion is the X-Men Universe colliding with 616, causing both sides to clash to save their respective universes, allowing for an Avengers VS X-Men movie

The interesting question, of course, is whether or not this incursion could result in a permanent mutant presence on Earth-616. Doctor Strange 2's post-credits hint an incursion can be ended; that's the whole reason Clea has recruited Doctor Strange, after all. But there's no reason to assume everything has to go back to normal when an incursion has come to an end, meaning some characters from a world with established X-Men could remain in the mainstream MCU. But it's worth noting such an approach is only likely to explain away the introduction of a handful of mutant characters, rather than an entire mutant race, simply because Marvel Studios is likely to want most of their mutants to be part of the timeline viewers are more intimately familiar with. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness therefore sets up the debut of some mutants - but not the entire mutant race. Any multiversal visitors should be seen as a hint of the evolution to come.

If mutants are only "created" in the modern MCU, what does that mean for wolverine and magneto? Magneto being a holocaust survivor is key for an accurate portrayal and it's the same for wolverine being 200+ years old. It's the same for Charles, he needs to be older and have much more experience than the rest of the mutants so he can be a teacher.

Still can't explain Wolverine..and you can Not bring him without his Origin story.. its part of him. same with Magneto. you can not have a Magneto in MCU without his Holocaust heritage, or at least some past War that triggers his mutation. Doesn't matter what way they bring them in , they *can not accidentally Evolve now without their origin stories*

They could have introduced Apocalypse in the Eternals movie. Especially with it being set over thousands of years and Apocalypses connection to the celestials in the comics where he discovers a celestial ship and merges with its technology. Totally agree that Magneto etc backstory very important however using the holocaust with Erik would mean he'd be about 90 years old in the MCU.

They could have introduced the mutant gene in Eternals possible as a mutation of the deviant gene or perhaps the mutant gene evolved in humans naturally to fight the deviants? Apocalypse could have been the first but became too powerful and the Egyptian god's came together and performed that ceremony to trap him in one of those mini statues in the temple? The mutant gene in humans could have then remained dormant after that after the deviant threat was eliminated by the Eternals?

Honestly I've been saying that the Snap could have caused the start of mutants being in the MCU. Rocket mentions about a "power surge of ridiculously cosmic proportions". That was just the first Snap. Then the stones being atomized *and* the Snap that brought everyone back. They still haven't said anything coming from it.

I think the MCU should make mutants an offshoot of Eternals. That way they can explain why characters like Magneto, who was a child during WWII, doesn’t look 100+ years old. They can say mutants age slower due to them being an evolution of Eternals. They are still mortal, but just age slower.

I wonder what route they'll go to introduce mutants in the MCU: - if they'll retroactively say the celestials manipulated the human genome like the deviants/eternals in the comics to create the X-gene - if they go down the route of human experimentation via Hydra or the Weapons Plus programme continuing from Steve Rogers - or they'll link it to the gamma radiation burst from all the times the infinity gauntlet was snapped - or there's a reversal of the "no more mutants" part in a future Wanda project - or as you say it has something to do with the presence of the High Evolutionary in GotG3 - or if they decide to get them into the MCU via an incursion Really excited to see what direction they go in!

So its 5he Zola sequence on howard starks face there is a letter written on there. And the next screen shows rigby Fallon who worked with kitty pryde at shield.

The X-Men were commonly referred to in the comics as "children of the atom", suggesting the hundreds of nuclear tests from 1940's onward activated the mutant X gene. Rocket Raccoon said that the use of the Infinity Gauntlet triggered an energy surge of gigantic proportions. Well, the 616 Earth experienced 3 of those within 5 years.. (the last 2 within less than an hour of each other!) Could this energy be enough to trigger latent X genes, taking the place of bombs as the source?

I like this. Not more than Reverse M-Day or “they’ve just been hiding in Genosha/On Krakoa this whole time but now it’s time for a coming out party like we did with Wakanda, deal with it, lol” but I could see this growing on me, I do love The Eternals a lot.
